The cafe is ok the problem i have with this location is that it is expensive to buy a drink and everything is inflated as you are at the Station. The problem around here is that it is poorly staff and at times close early at 15:00 at certian times. On windy days the door to platform 2 is closed and is a problem for people going past Dover in Kent

I was looking for a bottle of water while waiting for my train to London Euston. I wandered into this shop, picked up a 500ml bottle of water, (thats like those drinks you get, just larger than a can but the smallest coke plastic bottle you can get), wandered over to the till to pay, “£2.50 please” the lady said. I asked her to repeat please? £2.50” she said. Seriously, shop owners, how dumb do you think Virgin’s rail passengers are? Virgin - this reflects poorly on your brand too. The only reason we are there is to ride on YOUR service. Disgusting practice to overcharge like this because passengers dont have a choice? We do. I didn’t buy your water, but that doesnt mean when my Aunt Doris passes thru with the kids that she wont get ripped off. Disgusted.

Station café. Modestly stocked due to space shortage: sandwiches, biscuits, soft drinks, chocolate, magazines, newspapers. Good coffee, pleasant staff. There is a good amount of seating, but it is all a bit expensive and the opening hours are short (compared to rail travelling hours.)

Lovely Coffee in a well presented store. Changed a little what with the current climate but a delightful experience all round!

Love this little coffee shop on my travels, however this is the second time I’ve arrived during “opening times” to see it shut on a Sunday. Maybe due to being understaffed? However still rate a 4 for the experience I’ve received when opened. Just wish I could count on it being opened before I pass the ticket gate as otherwise I could have picked something up before arriving.

It's hit and miss here with the staff attitude. They used to do the most incredible cheese and butter butties here years ago. It used to be working class and divine.
