Really really lovely cafe. Delicious salads / noodle bowls and very good matcha cake & latte. Beautiful outdoor seating in the spring / summer. Very nice service too, will definitely be back!

This is such a perfect example of less is more!! Stunning presentation and seasoning on every single item you feel transported into Japan and even after trying every single item on the menu multiple times it never ceases to surprise me how balanced and healthy I feel once having your food! It's so refreshing to find out that you can still eat healthy, yet most importantly tasty food in London!

Great coffee, great looking shop, and good presentation. The front of house is terrible. Walk-ins given seats and those who booked are forgotten about. Very long time to order, no table service and uncoordinated wait staff. There is a lot of lost efficiency in the front of house.

I enjoyed the matcha latte and the slice of matcha cake I had. Really delicious flavours, and the latte was nicely balanced with the matcha and the milk. The ambiance is pretty relaxed so it's nice to come here solo or with a friend for a chat.

Like someone mentioned below, the front of house was inefficient. Took about 10 minutes for someone to take my order, even though it was clear that I was ready to order for a while, and I had to call someone over to take the order. Also took an additional 10 minutes to make the latte and for the slice of cake to come. The flavours made up for it, but the service wasnt as expected

A bunch of tasty Japanese snacks
They are very tasty and I recommend this place if you are around Highbury fields for a sweet break!

I tried a Japanese curry with chicken and a balanced bowl with rice. They were both very nice. Curry is between medium hot to hot for a Japanese curry (according to Japanese curry block level of spiciness), so it's not as that hot compared to other curries from different cuisines. I also tried Basque cheese cake and a slice of banana bread. They were also very nice. It really is like having a nice cafe you would find in Japan in London. I'm very happy I've found this place. Never knew it's been there for 6 years. I would definitely start going back for more.

The balance bowl and soup are excellent, but the desserts – the sesame chocolate tart and the burnt basque cheesecake – they are out of this world! An elegant eating experience just off Highbury Fields.

Read some reviews about the cafe is not authentic, however if you read the intro about this place, it’s all about homemade dishes from owner’s mother and not typical/traditional Japanese food. It’s a small relaxing place with good service and healthy food. The rice dishes are diabetes friendly (My family members have diabetes, we always have multigrain rice instead of white rice) and the portion is really good for one person.
