Highbury Cafe

Worst Kebab in my life. Absolutely horrific. Little to no meat. The meat that I did have was cold and dry. Gave hardly any sauce on the kebab. Very limited choice of salad. The chip were undercooked by a long shot. I paid 7 pounds for a monstrosity. I really hope you can improve because it was the worst food I've ever had. Oh yes, all the drinks are kept in a "fridge" but upon my first sip, it was room temperature. Disastrous!!!

Been there twice now. Very clean interior, food is good and the prices are ok.

This place is bad enough to merit a warning. I had the WORST dessert I have ever seen dished up in this place today. Apple pie and custard (how hard can it be?) was served in a bowl filled with some disgusting looking over-heated (microwave) yellow soup which had something lurking in it - presumably the "apple pie." For £3 I do not expect a lot but this is the first time I have ever ordered a dish and then left it almost completely untouched. I ate one mouthful. It tasted nothing like custard and I did not even try the apple pie. AVOID

After ordering and paying for my chicken doner wrap (£7) I was greeted with a long wait for what should be a quick meal. I was first disappointed that the meat wasn’t cut ‘fresh’ from the vertical rotating tower of chicken and was being served instead from a Bain-Marie, disappointing but acceptable. However when it came to my order, we witnessed that the Bain-Marie was actually being refilled from a plastic tub retrieved from the microwave containing pre cut meat, a true Art Attack moment of one I made earlier. Sadly I found to my displeasure the microwave hadn’t done its job and only some of the chicken had been retreated with many bits still cold.

I decided to save myself and donate the wrap to the bin, hopefully saving myself a world of pain at 3am. My advice would be to avoid this place and instead visit Greggs opposite for half the price.

THE FOOD NEVER ARRIVED! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!! DRIVER MOVES CLOSER TO YOU AND THEN WENT BACK TO THE CAFE AND TURNED THE PHONE OFF SO WSNT ABLE TO SEE MOVEMENTS! CROOKS! THEIR BEHAVIOUR IS NOT HOW ANY MUSLIM ESTABLISHMENT SHOULD RUN BY ROBBING/STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE I AM SO DISGUSTED - THEY DON’T HAVE A PHONE NUMBER WHICH IS DODGY - There is no picture to take because never arrived but I paid my money

worst lamb doner ever, don't buy it, it's not fresh at all, bad tast, out of date.

I don't even feel it deserves 1star. Went in and asked if food was halal staff there said no. On the way out noticed the halal sign so questioned if not halal why is the sign up. He said the lamb was halal but not the breakfast. Thought fair enough but felt he should have mentioned that when initially asked. Didn't buy anything as felt he didn't want to serve us, so took our service else where.
