Wow... what a find in Belper and I’ve lived in the town for 4 years! The owner is a lovely bloke and I ask for a veggie breakfast on the fact that I don’t like bacon and sausage but I like black pudding.

He convinced me to try the sausage and bacon so went for the standard meat version. Firstly, it’s massive and was so tasty.

It wasn’t greasy and every mouthful was really good. My wife had a crispy bacon cob which she really enjoyed.

It does get really busy so make sure you get early to guarantee a seat.

Credit to the staff here, passion and great customer service goes a long way.

The Belper 'Grumpy Grandads Breakfast Club' really enjoyed our first visit here. We all had the big full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Inclusive tea and coffee with unlimited refills make this meal a perfect choice. Lovely friendly staff and nice decor. We will be back!

Popped in to get a cup of tea as we had just missed our bus. Initial thoughts were the owners have done a nice job of the decor and it felt cosy. The owners we're very nice people. The tea was very nice and came with a complimentary biscoff to dunk.

A hidden gem in Belper.

Great food, extremely reasonable prices and lovely staff!

Really recommended for a lunch spot in Belper.

P.S. don't be put off with it being next to the bus station!

A great place and very clean, but it has become a little pricey for what you get, but maybe that's just a sign of the times...
You also need to be Einstein to work out the menu when it comes to additional items etc....

In saying that, I will go back...

The social media profile attracted my attention to this place to drop by before I headed to a wedding. The place is nicely decorated with no pretences and it was spotlessly clean. The waitress was warm and welcoming, which always sets a good tone. I ordered a large breakfast and swapped mushrooms for an additional sausage. My tea was served promptly and while I expected to only get a mug, I received a pot and mug so I got a good three mugs' worth out of it.
The breakfast was very nicely cooked and tasted lovely - the bacon was especially juicy and the sausages & hash browns were light and very flavoursome.
The chef was friendly and checked that I enjoyed my breakfast, which I certainly did.
If you're in the area, I couldn't recommend this place enough. Ahead of two friends' big day, the food was definitely worthy of being called filling. Next time I'm in this part of Derbyshire, I'll definitely come back for breakfast or lunch.

Really gorgeous food, not your typical greasy spoon. Proper homemade quality fare. The breakfasts, especially the juicy sausages are probably the best I've ever eaten The staff, especially the chef Matt were really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend to everyone. Thanks again
