I really like this cafe. Great seats very sturdy for little children. Decor is great really goes with the whole Calke Abbey theme. I really like the wild flowers they pick from the garden on the tables. The food is good with a good choice (considering it is not the main eatery here). There are amongst other items sandwiches, childrens boxes, hot & cold drinks, jacket potatoes, cakes, biscuits and sausage rolls. There are great baby seats you can strap on to the chairs. You can also get pushchairs in comfortably ~ I have a double one and can manover around ok. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean. I do find the queues to be smaller than the other restaurant. The prices are as expected for a National Trust, I like to think of it as a further donation to help Calke. I would recommend to check it out.

Love Calke and enjoy the cafe but they serve the most bitter coffee I have tasted in any NT cafe

Lovely staff, we went around 1.30 on a Sunday and not much food left to choose from

Nice surroundings and friendly staff. Tasty hot meals and other treats. You do need a coat in winter as the restaurant area seems to be unheated but you can sit in the winter sun in the Stable Restaurant.

Felt very safe ordering from here. They have a one way system in place and screens up to keep themselves safe too.

This is a lovely well laid out cafe. There's a lovely range of cakes with all looked very tasty! There's lots of different speciality tea's, I had the Lemon and Ginger one which was very refreshing. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome.

This used to be very good, but the choices are really poor now. Hardly anything nice to choose from. Hint - bring a picnic instead.

Lovely place to have a meal after a nice walk - so far the best cafe (from National Trust) that we have been (and we have been in more than 10 different National Trust Parks/Cafes where unfortunately the food is mediocre - if not even worst than that).
