Sadly, we chose to visit the Woodland Cafe for lunch (pictures & reviews made it appear an appealing place). It was a quiet Saturday afternoon, with less than 50% of outside seats occupied & no tables filled inside. We were told to sit down and our orders would be taken. After 30 odd mins & asking twice at the bar if we could order, the waitress eventually came to take our order (3 pizzas, 1 halloumi toast & 4 drinks). 20 mins later drinks arrived. Another 30 minutes later, the 1st disappointing pizza arrived along with burnt black toast & halloumi. 10 minutes later the second poor quality pizza turned up. 5 minutes later we were told the final pizza would be a few minutes. 10 mins later (and after 3 meals had been eaten), we were told the remaining pizza had been burnt (all the other food was burnt & served regardless), so we'd have to wait for a few more minutes. Eventually a raw pizza arrived (which was in fairness put in the oven after complaining). We complained and didn't pay for 2 meals, but sadly our Saturday afternoon was wasted/spoiled. The name of the cafe is laughable. Sadly, the mature trees appear to have suffered considerable root damage from development/level changes & compaction and the constant traffic noise creates an unpleasant atmosphere.I strongly recommend avoiding this awful place.

Great evening here last Thursday with my family. A relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. ²⁴¹ cocktails too....pizzas were fantastic and the wife enjoyed her burger. Definitely value for money.... We will be back soon for a Saturday night with live music. They even got the fire Pitt going for us. Might have to try the BBQ platter next time as this looks awesome.

Had the mixed hash brunch, amazing plate of food for the price, particular care was taken into the salt beef that topped the entire dish. I bet this place looks fantastic on a sunny day.

Just had a some fantastic breakfasts and some lovely coffee's. I chose the mixed hash breakfast which was delicious and my partner had the avocado on sour dough. All the staff were great and look forward to our next visit.

We are on holiday in the nearby yurts. We were made REALLY welcome by this super cafe after a longish drive. Thank you. We ate here several times over the week and always enjoyed good service and tasty meals. Live music on Thursday and Friday evening plus at Sunday lunchtime.

We had such a wonderful time during our Halloween themed evening. Starting with an amazing story telling walk in the wonderful woodland, then an incredible variety of really delicious food. Also brilliant katin music and a dance space. The hospitality was so welcoming, warm, helpful and fun. Definitely will be returning soon.
