What a gem of a place! Found this while hiking the South Downs Way and couldn't have been happier. Staff were super friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the portions huge! Highly recommended!

Delightful setting for this snug little café. Excellent coffee and amazing cakes, with generous slices at reasonable prices and the best cream scone we've had outside of Devon! Very busy for the over-worked staff running around, but we weren't in a hurry and was well worth the half-hour wait to get our cakes.

Cheerful and prompt service. This place has a wealth of superb cakes.

Farmer's Feast All-day Breakfast was prodigious in quantity. Beans, sausages and bread were of low grade for the price of the breakfast. Mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes and bacon decent.

Myself and my friends were surprised at the price of 2 slices of toast and with a tiny amount jam. We couldn't see it on the menu at the time of our visit and when we got the bill we assumed it must be a mistake. We later contacted the cafe and were told that's the price and it was on the menu. It was not we both checked. We told some other diners as we left not to make our mistake and to order something like the breakfast instead, they were also shocked and took our advice. We will not be returning.

Was needing to do some remote work so stumbled across this little gem in the quaint Steyning highstreet. Had a coffee and some scrambled egg and smoked salmon and went about my work. I wasn’t disturbed at all which was very professional and the food coffee and juice was lovely! Reasonably priced too so 2 coffees and orange juice and scrambled egg and smoked salmon and some toast came to £18. Lovely Christmas decs too featuring a lovely polar bear family. Will be back but most likely during my leisure time.

Got here 20 minutes before closing. So we both had cake and cappuccino. I had the lemon drizzle. Nice size slice and very very tasty. My cappuccino was perfect.
The lady that served us was nice and jolly too. I did ask about the buildings history and she told me what she could. Shame I can only give it 5 stars. Great place . Will visit again

Our experience was a bit mixed. We had to wait a LONG time for food but they were very busy. I think it would have been good if we had been offered a top up of the teapot to keep us going - especially as we were out in the tent and it was a bit chilly. However, the food was tasty and I expect on a quieter day the experience would have been better.
