The Step In Cafe

Have been eating here since I was a small child although it was the starburger then I believe and I am sure they used to serve Sunday roast and desert. (edit try still do!) :-) Anyway the food is always good and what you would expect from a cafe. Any mistakes are always swiftly rectifies in the rare event there is one. The kids Love eating here and my daughter has asked if she can have a birthday party here. Would always recommend this fabulous family run cafe.

My sister found a hair in her sausage sandwich and i ordered tuna salad baguette it was very dry no mayo and all the salad was cut terribly it was just a big mess clearly they dont wear hair nets and the whole cafe was filthy

Horrid food, my daughter found a hair in her food and fizzy drink.
The coffee was disgusting that comes with fry up, £17.50 for 2 fry ups 1 medium coke.
Apparently my daughters wasn't set meal egg no yolk, chips, sausage & bacon was charged separately for these I had a set 1 meal.
Would never eat here again and for price was disgusting.
We felt sick after eating there
Needs reporting to trading standards don't know about 4 star good hygiene rating 🤔 🙄

Went there this morning. Fantastic breakfast and the staff were lovely. Food tasty and quick service. Very welcoming. Deffo recommend. Special thanks to the Scottish lady, sorry we didn't get your name.

Just rude
Threw the menus at us , made us wait , served a couple that walked in after us ( but in their defence the couple that walked in after us was with a family that were already sitting so that’s ok I guess 😆)
Awful cafe awful staff .
The Blue harbour restaurant a few doors up ..excellent all round .. go there instead 🙂🙂

The staff at the step in were extremely friendly when I went in with my disabled 11 year old. They were accommodating and kind. Tommy really enjoyed his burger chips and beans too!

Just seen the owner of this cafe go out and start shouting and swearing at 2 older ladies, who were trying to come in the cafe. He has just accused them of breaking the door. Really!!! Absolutely disgusting!

Don't advise anyone to eat here taste like 20 day old food
