A solid breakfast cafe. Signs say "Pete's Cafe" and it's cash only. The regular breakfast is £5 and you get two sausages, two rashers of bacon, an egg, hash brown, black pudding (optional), beans, two slices of white buttered toast and a mug of tea or coffee. There is also a large breakfast, veggie breakfast and various egg options. Bench seating, friendly staff, relaxed environment (you order at the counter, help yourself to cutlery and sauces) and hearty food.

Great place for all day breakfast. The two ladies are brilliant & will happily change items to suit you. Always a delight to go in (& we travel from Flintshire)

We stopped in here for breakfast this morning, while our washing was in the launderette next door. £6 for a full English breakfast, with 2 slices of toast AND coffee, was in my opinion, excellent value. It tasted delicious, and the thick sliced white toast took me back to living at home as a kid. It was fabulous. If we lived in Chester, this would definitely be one of our regular spots to visit.
Thank you.

A proper old fashioned Cafe. The staff are happy, friendly and helpful. I visited after dropping off my laundry next door and was so impressed that I made a point of popping in when I picked it up the next day. I can't express how clean and well run this oasis is. Will definitely return when I'm next in Chester.

If you are not a fan of supporting global tax avoiding coffee chains, but you are a fan of down to earth local cafés, then this is the place. Big plateful of traditional breakfast items and lovely people too. Tea was proper good too.
