Not great, place always seems to be really busy yet under staffed. Went today there were two people serving at the counter and I think only one in the kitchen cooking the food. It took ages to come out (understandably) and we got two of the four meals ordered them another 10 minutes before the other two arrived. Food was cold and not very enjoyable. Didn't have the heart to complain they were run ragged, I blame the store management for under resourcing the cafe. Won't be going back there again any time soon.

We popped into the cafe for a bite to eat. Almost everything had sold out stickers, with not much on offer. We grabbed a tea and coffee & then found almost every table had dirty plates and needed cleaning. Once we found a table, we noticed the staff kept walking past all the dirty tables. Really not a good visit!

Food service was a little slow and tried to give my toddler a cappucino instead of a babycino... barrister didn't understand the difference despite it being on their menu. The server had to explain to him that they were not the same thing in the end. High chairs were in need of a wipe down too. Husband ordered the halloumi breakfast and the halloumi was cooked a bit oddly and rubbery. But otherwise the food was good, sweet potato katsu was yummy and toddler enjoyed her meal when it arrived.

What a Difference a Week Makes!
A week ago I accidentally ordered the Kids' scrambled egg on toast, three of them, with a pot of tea which came to about £4.50 That was probably the best scrambled egg I have ever eaten (I have enjoyed eggs, especially scrambled, for more than 60 years) so I decided to treat myself today and I returned.
The nice lady at the counter was telling the customer before me that she was working alone and that there may be a slight delay but I wasn't worried about time and I could hear kitchen staff working behind the door. Unfortunately I couldn't see any "adult menu" scrambled without salmon so I ordered a vegetarian breakfast assuming the fried eggs would be equally delicious (I didn't want to argue with the woman who was already stressed, about kids v adults and prices) and so I took my tea paid £5.20 and awaited a lovely breakfast.
Cold tomato, cold hash brown, cold field mushroom, and cold fried haloumi with the most burned eggs ever. I ate the solid rubber yolks but the rest was stuck to the "plastic" film which formed underneath. I won't be doing that again. The 2 stars are for the tea.
I am still hungry but going home for an early lunch.

Nice layout. Lift from ground floor makes it easy for elderly and disabled. Usual selection of food and drinks. Speedy pleasant service. Tasty lunches. Young male employee behind counter would be better used replenishing sugar container, cutlery and serviettes than fiddling with his phone.

Excellent. Courteous Service. Food excellent. Had Salmon with New Potatoes and salad. Promptly supplied. Minimal wait time. Based on experience would highly recommend for quality food at an affordable price.

It's not possible to give 0 stars so I'm having to award 1. The cafe is dirty and had a very limited number of items on the menu that were actually available... The service was poor and not only did we not get what we originally ordered, we actually didn't get any food at all as the kitchen 'hadn't recieved the ticket' so after 40mins of waiting we left hungry and annoyed. It was made worse by the fact the teenage staff seemed to find it amusing that an 8month pregnant lady, her 2 year old and husband all ended up with no food and having to leave hungry. Definitely won't be making a return visit and would recommend others steer clear.

Clean, clear environment, plenty of space between tables. Good selection of snacks, some fruits available. Good menu but we didn't actually try out anything as we were on post hospital visit and on our way home. Staff pleasant and helpful, cleared away quickly as customers finished and left, no pressure to finish our drinks or refreshments quickly. Good place to keep in mind when visiting the area again.
