Pay as you feel charity cafe. They used unwanted food by supermarkets that would otherwise be thrown away or burned and make dishes from what is brought in on that day. Also there's a table to sell other food items not used in cooking the meals. It has won a local award for this concept. Supporting this cafe is not just good for Northampton but for the environment as well. Brilliant idea! Stop food waste.

A brilliant food waste project that is well worth supporting. Very much a community cafe feel, and a great way to buy food items and donate to a good cause via their boutique stall.

Great place. Uses up food donated to it and serves up cracking meals. Sells some of the donations at rock bottom prices.

A very good charitable organization, helping those less fortunate get by. The meals are quite good and every effort is made to make you feel welcome. A starter, main and dessert available. Two to three choices available per dish. No set price, pay what you can afford. Also free fruit, veg and bread. Help yourself. Free tea and coffee. It may be a little hard to find,as it is off the main road, but we'll worth it. Open Tuesday to Thursday.

A hidden treasure. I had a great couple of hours, the food is fresh and clearly made by people who enjoy what they're doing and care about it. Although the food is made from 'unwanted' supermarket 'out of date' leftovers, you'd never know it. The inclusion of an area to 'buy' supermarket leftovers for a donation is also great and I got some things for almost nothing that would have cost a fortune in the shops. Wheelchair access was no problem and the staff there couldn't have been more pleasant and friendly.

What an inspiring project. It's mind blowing how much food we consign to the scrap heap in the west, and schemes like this are showing how in a small way they can make a big difference. Thursday's Greek themed three course meal was well planned, served in a prompt and friendly manner and delicious into the bargain. The team could show some professional caterers a thing or two.

Just got to love places like this. Well run, managed perfectly and nice food. Doesn't cost too much either. I wonder if Elsie delivers...
