We used to visit this place weekly on our way to visit an elderly relative, before covid.
The food and service was always first class.
Sadly our relative died, then covid intervened, so this was our first visit for a number of years.
The food is still great, but not so many staff in attendance on the day we visited. This would probably go unnoticed if you had not visited three years before.
There is seating indoors and out, and clean toilets.
The menu is extensive for a small establishment, so if you are in a rush, adjust your plans and take your time... the food is prepared to order, and all the better for it.
The only downside is the affect the cake display has on my waistline!!

Quite expensive so only had coffee, which was good. Toilets clean and well equipped. Free car park for patrons. Dogs not allowed inside cafe but there is outdoor seating. Wheelchair friendly.

Stopped for coffee and cake before walking the canal path. Very clean and inviting cafe. Latte was absolutely lovely and reasonably priced. I did wince a bit at the price of the éclair, homemade and a fair size but 4.75 seemed quite steep.
Plenty of outdoor seating and dog bowls with water.
The toilets were very clean!!

Outstanding Marina/Water side cafe. Loads of outdoor space, great food which matches the menu, and isn't expensive. Massive value for money deserts. Dog friendly (outdoors). Outdoor seating is a Mixture of Bench's and proper chairs and tables. Indoors is on the small side, but lots of tables fairly close knit. Lots of charm. Large ice cream bar and caravan to side. Place does get flooded with middle aged men in lycra. Also known also cyclists. Good car park, but watch out for the damn speed bumps which are short and high. Low cars could easily catch underside parts on them.

We live on the marina and go often for meals. Have two large cooked breakfasts with tea for two and orange juice . The sausage are the best we’ve ever had and the meals are piping hot with plenty of tea and large orange juice . Cakes are ok although a little pricey. The coffee is exceptionally good and the place is absolutely immaculate. We’ve had afternoon tea on Mother’s Day and that was amazing too! The only negative I have to say is that it is very smoky from the cooking in winter which stays on your clothes . Could do with some ventilation or a few window open however it is difficult in winter . Staff always make us feel welcome .

Recently refurbished. Good selection of cakes. Cyclist friendly. Cyclist offer of Tea/Coffee plus teacake £3.45 good value but had to double take a surcharge of £1 for a 1oz jar of jam (which wasn't even full!) 🤔

Delicious cake. They also have a very tasty coffee and walnut gluten free cake (assuming the choice will change depending on when you visit) but good to know that they always have a gluten free option!
