Cafe Reculver

Such a lovely face we were greeted with - quite rare these days. We come to this lovely place here as often as the weather permits us. My little daughter absolutely loves it here. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. Such friendliness and warmth, delicious ice-cream ! Lovely excellent service. So much to do and see. My partner worked in Reculver for over two years it was the best and happiest time in her working life ever! We look forward to returning for the finest coffee and superb company.

Came in here today after a freezing walk along the seafront. Lovely food and they make a decent cup of tea. 5 star hygiene rating and it shows, a lovely place. Will definitely be back.

When I visited the towers and fort I stopped here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and the lunch was really good plus it was inexpensive. Everything lovely and clean I would go back here again.

Just visited again, still as good as the first time, make sure you visit.

Just had the best bacon sandwich here! Lovely fresh bread and plenty of bacon inside. This lovely little cafe never disappoints. Friendly staff who love a bit of banter with their customers!

A lovely cafe! Arrived at about 11.30 before the lunchtime rush. Tables & chairs spaced apart. 3 of us and we had 1 sausage sandwich 1 ham cheese toastie and a bacon egg sandwich. All delicious with lovely bread. The guys here work really hard and food doesnt take too long. Thank you cafe reculver!

Reasonable Social Distancing measures, with several outdoor seats and tables. Simple takeaway/eat outside cafe full menu and ice creams. We had very good sandwiches and drinks.

A strange one this. It's situated minutes away from Reculver Towers with only two other foodie options close by so it's perfectly placed with friendly clientele and lots of dogs to fuss over. However, the price to pay for that is almost an hour wait for your food. With no apologies or recognition of the fact that waiting approximately 52 mins is perhaps a tad long for a full English and veggie option with tinned tomatoes and beans. In fact, when we enquired after 45 mins when our food would come, they seemed a bit bemused and actually asked us to remind them what we ordered. The eventual reason for the food being so slow? It was "busy" and the chef doesn't like any help in the kitchen because she has her own way of doing things. Perhaps one of those ways could be getting extra help in?
