Cake Box Staines

This place is fabulous....... a gorgeous variety of premium cakes (slices and full )
The cakes are not only attractive to look at but taste as good as they look.
£3 a slice but worth every penny, a generous slice, layer upon layer of soft sponge and cream with an indulgent topping.... makes me think that if you could eat clouds that the consistency would be much the same as these cakes!

I just bought cake slices for £14. I was disappointed because the staff told me that it was the company's policy to not write happy birthday on the cake slices, nor on the cheesecake. She was only be able to write happy birthday on the expensive cakes. 👎

Great cakes, helpful staff. Only issue was we ordered assorted cupcakes for collection and only later realised some of the cupcakes were missing their chocolate decorations. We were shown the cakes at collection but because there aren’t really pictures of what they should like clearly visible in the shop, we didn’t notice till later.

Can't go wrong with egg free cake from Cake Box!! Always fresh and tasty, staff are very helpful!! Thanks!! 🎂🎂🎂

WORST customer service EVER!

On Saturday 8/October 2022 at 5PM we got at the Staines store to pick-up the well desired Black Forest cake for my Birthday Party but got surprised when two staff told us there was no order in my wife's or either my name ready to pick-up.

We at first through it could have been our mistake ordering to the wrong store but we didn't have access to our cake box account to check. We thought staff had checked their system at least to tell us no such order existed there.

We went back home and logged in their system to learn that our order was CANCELLED without warning. But we were surprise to learn that the money had been withdrawn from our account anyways and that was 2 days ago already.

We came back to the store now with access to the system and with screenshots of our banking app showing that the order had been paid but even so it was cancelled. At that moment the Indian lady at the staff decided to look at their system and confirmed that it had been cancelled because the payment was pending.

AT this moment i got upset because she could have looked at the system and told us about that on our first trip to the store but for some reason she just didn't trust us enough to believe that we were saying the truth and had us go home and check for ourselves.

I decided to tell her that she could have helped us better by looking at the system before instead of just saying that there wasn't anything for us. However she was confident enough to tell us that this wasn't her fault but OURS. It was OUR fault that the company she works for decided to cancel our AWAITED ORDER without NOTICE and still took the money out from our account and their staff not even cared to help.

She could at least have looked in the system and apologized for the company's mistake, but why ? If they don't need customers to survive!?.

In the end we had to buy another cake because we had guests waiting for the birthday party, not even knowing when our money would be refunded and the cake wasn't even the flavour we initially ordered.

THAT IS THE TRUE MEANING OF NOT CARING ABOUT ITS OWN SERVICE AND CUSTOMERS.

Ordered 2 x 8inch victoria sponge cakes in the last two months. Seriously tasty and fresh! Both were ready for collection within an hour. Lovely staff :)

Cake was very tasty and light as usual, design was as ordered so 5* for Food. I came 1 hour after I was notified it was ready (was ready on time but I wasn't). I was in and out quickly, so 5* for Service and Atmosphere.

Brought a cake via Uber eats. Came in a total mess. Cake box did nothing to help. What a disaster.
