The food was nice but the waiter seemed to have a bit of an attitude with the staff which left a sour taste in my mouth. He also brought our bill to us unprompted while my partner still had a full drink, I was planning on getting another drink. I dunno, just seemed a bit unprofessional. Other than that, I think it was pretty good and maybe he was having a bit of an off day.

First time at this Restaurant as was recommended. Carbonara & Lasagne main courses were very tasty , if a little small . Our main hang-up (£3.35 for can of coke or lemonade) & a not so " Giant Profitterole " costing £7 .00 !! We gave 4 stars because the service was great & the staff were extremely helpful as one of our party had dietary requirements . On the whole very tasty food but certain items were rather overpriced .

Staff very friendly and kind. Food quality questionable but overall not bad. Noodles overcooked and sauce taste with previously cooked fish. King prawns texture spot on with fantastic home made focaccia. Cod had nice crispy skin.

Our party of 7 enjoyed the food on offer from the set menus. Mushroom soup was delicicious. Chicken Milan juicy with crisp coating.

The food was pretty good, particularly enjoyed the focaccia bread starter. Service was a little slow at times but friendly. I didn't find the atmosphere particularly relaxing but it was OK. I liked that the restaurant seemed to be family friendly, with several groups with young children present.

It does the job - just. We booked here for an early dinner (mid December) - the place wasn't too busy at the time. The person greeting was not very welcoming and after hunting for a bit to find our booking she pointed us to take 'one of the tables in the middle' in the main area. Usual thing, if you are a couple you get shoved onto tiny tables (these ones are round, not square) so real estate is always a premium. My calamari starter was boring and flavourless. I had carbonara for main - it was ok, a bit stodgy. All in all a really mediocre meal. Table service was friendly.

Delicious every time!
Carluccio's is the best Italian restaurant in Bury St. Edmunds.
It's great for a quick bite, or a special dinner.

P.S. Please don't close!
