Greene King Beer Café & Brewery Tours

Underwhelming as brewery tours go I'm afraid. Staff were friendly enough and they had good local knowledge but the lack of beer tasting before you had to pay seemed tight. When you consider micro breweries like the Hogs back bring out like 4 pitchers of each beer on the way round.

Very interesting beer tour with a lot of Bury st Edmonds history, great views from the roof of the brewery and good beer to taste at the end. Very interesting and entertaining guide.

Had a lovely breakfast in here the other day and two halves of some new / rarer GK beers which were super tasty. Big plus point is you can get a beer with your breakfast from 10am most days where as most other pubs in BSE only open at 12 for food (Wetherspoons excluded !). Lovely staff too. Didn't look in shop or do brewery tour as booked for beer festival.

This was a surprise present from my gorgeous girlfriend. I had no idea what to expect but it was really informative and most importantly a whole lot of fun. Our tour guide, Kim, was just fantastic, so much energy and knowledge. It was a really inclusive experience, we were all made to feel really welcome right from the start. Kim talked us through the history of the business, walked us around the workings of the brewery itself, including fantastic rooftop views of Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area, before finishing with an entertaining sample of GK’s many tasty beers. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this tour. I’m already arranging to return with friends, and I’ll be specifically asking only for Kim as our tour guide. Such good fun!

Our tours with John & Steve were absolutely fantastic! Their depth of knowledge is incredible and it was great to taste some beer and learn something at the same time. We particularly enjoyed the walking tour - Bury St Edmunds is a beautiful place and so full of history that we could have stayed wandering around all day. It was only the beer calling from the tasting room that tempted us back inside!

I went on the brewery tour and the walking tour. Both absolutely fantastic and were led by 2 amazingly knowledgeable guides. John and Steve had fantastic knowledge and were very funny. Would 100% recommend… the beer isn’t too bad either

We done the tour on Saturday and had a fantastic time.

We live in Bury St Edmunds and have never done the tour even though we live 5 minutes away. It was informative and so interesting. Steve was excellent had answers to all of our questions and a genuine lovely man.

We would 100% recommend. I don't like beer and I enjoyed everything about the tour.
