Pamphill Parlour Café

Best Ice Cream ever!! A very nice stop-off while travelling back east from Devon, a peaceful haven, great café and farm shop. Great lunch, very generous portions for the chicken salad, big pot of tea. The ice cream is made from the local dairy and is absolutely delicious, we will definitely stop here again if only for the ice cream. I had lemon and passion fruit, my daughter had cookies and cream. Very, very nice!

Varied menu, size of meals has been reduced with the price slightly increased.

Had to wait behind a rope to be seated. Plenty of seats were available but no we were obviously invisible. I was wanting a nice coffee with my adult son before he left for abroad for the year. Eventually we were seated. The breakfast menu was automatically slapped down in front of us. We just wanted a coffee and small sweet treat. I asked for a latte, my son asked for a cappuccino. They were both scolding hot. My son burned his mouth. The latte was more like milky coffee my mother used to make 40 years ago. It was not a latte as far as i was concerned. They could consider itemising the bill so you can check it but no...you just paid at the counter. Not good. Improvements need to be made.

We were looking forward to a nice local sunday breakfast, but unfortunately we were very disappointed with Pamphill Cafe today....we waited far to long, both at the door to be seated & for service once we had been seated. Food was average, coffee was good - but unfortunately not worth waiting an hour for. We will not rush back.

Very disappointed with Pamphill restaurant. It’s changed since being taken over. Had to wait behind a rope , a male member of staff, was running around which makes you feel rushed and pressured into ordering and eating your food quickly. We did not feel relaxed at all. He kept looking over at us when we had finished our meal as he needed the table I suppose. Plus the quality of food has gone down hill . Not a nice experience . Not a friendly man at all.

Stopped Service Breakfast @ 11.30am it's still the morning, not good. A Competant Chef would do the Whole Menu all day long.

What a lovely place for a bite to eat. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a nice variety of foods to choose, from light bites to a full roast dinner. They make their own ice cream and have fresh baked goods.

Fabulous staff. Cooked lunch even though we had just missed lunch time.
