This is a beautiful little tea room. It is quaint, clean, and has the most welcoming staff, of any tea room I have been to.

Can I recommend, scrambled egg and beans on toast with a sprinkling of mature cheddar cheese on the top. With a fresh slice of carrot cake to finish. And a large pot of tea.

An absolute gem of a place in Selby.

Nice food and tea but I went in at 3pm and was definitely made clear to that I had to have something light and easy as they were closing at 4.... asked me to pay up mid food so cashing up could be done 25 mins before. My son and his partner akso happened to see me and popped in while passing at 3.20. They were looking for a bite to eat but were told they couldn't really get anything to eat as it was too late.
I will not bother going again as I didn't feel welcome, just an inconvenience

Hi visited here as you can't come to Harrogate without visiting Betty's Tea Rooms.
I had the tea with fruit scone jam and cream.
There are two areas to eat. The first is on the ground floor where you are seated and you visit the counter to place and pay for your order and go back to your seat and wait for it to arrive.

The Tea Room is such a lovely place to be. It's cosy, friendly and very good value for money. The staff here are nothing short of superb & it's clear they want you to enjoy your time here. Oh, & the portions are MASSIVE!

Visited this tea shop today. What a lovely treat. Tea served in a teapot, friendly staff, very clean. Such a relaxed lunch, first time visitor to Selby. Will definitely be back and eat here again. Thank you to all the staff.
