Friendly staff and a good selection of food and drink for the smaller cafe (for a larger food choice you are better at Fointains abbey cafe).
They had gluten free scones and some tasty looking forward cakes, cosy inside on a brreezy November day

The Tearoom,it goes without saying was exceptionally busy, that's not too hard to work out when you consider hundred of visitors are wandering round this magnificent attraction having probably walked the equivalent of a "half marathon"on a sunny day, needless to say it was very good and much appreciated.👍👍

Service extremely slow, but cakes we had were good. System of queueing for orders needs a major rethink really

Very understaffed this sunday the front cafe was closed takeaways very available round the back though. I cant understand why the National Trust wont employ people to work here they rely far to much on volunteers these days time they got their act together

Friendly staff, but a very long wait to be served, food okay, hot chocolate very weak. Would not recommend.

A nice spot to enjoy a brew -or a veggie curry pastie in my case today. 🤤
'Tis a shame due to ongoing Pandemic precautions the usual seating's outdoor only, but it's still a very scenic spot overlooking the adjacent lake.
Sorry no snap of the veg curry pastie, but here's one of the cute Jackdaw that I gave a few crust crumbs.

Great location. But very standard national trust food selection. So worth a visit bit don't be expected to be wowed by the food choices.

Visited in January so not in season but a decent weather day, not much food option and rather pricey (but I feel most National Trust cafes are) however the fruit scones are a must, I get them everytime I'm at a national trust venue. 😀
