This cafe was ultimate experience from food to staff.
Food11/10
Staff100/10
Aircon 0/10 :( (it was 35degree when I visited)
Rick was just awesome.
He was honest with his answers regarding the foodie questions, he was helpful, checked back at the right times, plates were cleaned off the table. Honestly Rick you should get the raise and employee of the month cause I observed you and you were consistently amazing with everyone. So thank you.

The price is so reasonable and honestly the quality of the food and the service makes it worth while.

I will definitely visit again.

A superb coffee shop with THE most delicious food (Welsh rarebit muffins last week, Eggs Benedict this) The service is spot on, prompt, efficient and friendly. The place is spotless and has an incredible atmosphere too. Upstairs is great for informal meetings.

Lovely place and great food. It was quiet when we arrived but got busier. I needed to move to somewhere quieter so the staff suggested upstairs, helped us move our things and even waited with the food which they were just bringing out. They couldn't have been kinder or more helpful.
The food was delicious too as well as being very reasonably priced.

Went for coffee with a group of friends. All felt a bit rushed, hadn't even sat down before we were being asked what drinks we wanted. Weren't offered any menus or even asked if we wanted cake with our coffee. I saw some nice cakes on way in and would have bought a slice. Coffee was nice.

Came here last night for their Christmas menu, the whole process from booking via an email to having our food was very smooth and I can't recommend them enough.

When we arrived, we were shown to our table and offered drinks straight away.

We pre ordered our food, so our started were brought out very quickly, we had prawn cocktails and a goats cheese and red onion tart .

Main courses were steak, salmon and a turkey dinner, all these were hot and very well presented, the turkey dinner was huge and came with carrots, parsnips, roast potatoes, sprouts, red cabbage, pigs in blankets, turkey and red wine jus, it lovely, the turkey was stuffed with stuffing and felt very festive.

We were all very stuffed, but still had room left for our puddings, we all had the raspberry Panna Cotta.

Our table was decorated with crackers, to add to the festive feel.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive, checking that everything was ok with our food.

We will definitely be going back.

Disappointed that I was unable to book a table for 8 people on a Monday at 2pm. Apparently the policy is no lunchtime booking. Clearly Gilt is making enough money to turn away a booking for 8 people. Fortunately, there are plenty of other places to eat on the avenue.
