This is a lovely cafe the food is very good and the atmosphere is very chill. I would definitely recomend this place for a bite to eat and a chill cup of coffee. I would also recommend the special Cafe R burger!!

Latte - extra milky (not good)
Pot of tea - 1 tea bag (not good)

Sausage egg bap - cold egg, undercooked sausage

American pancakes - cold, overpriced, lack of syrup

Veggie breakfast - poached egg(hard/cold) beans(chef mike). Large option only includes 1 extra sausage so don’t bother.

Chicken and club sandwich - best thing of all.

3 latte
1 pot tea
Large veg breakfast
Small veg breakfast
2x American pancakes
Sausage, egg bap
Club sandwich

£52… not worth it!

And it isn’t even table service

We always ate here and would travel all the way from Mold to have lunch, but we have eaten twice at Cafe R since lockdown and both times were really below standard.
The first visit we were served by a very sullen young man who we had to ask several times for the poached egg for my Welsh rarebit and I didnt get it in the end. Also there was an excuse when we asked about tiffin cake which we purchase each time we go. This time the waitress was pleasant and efficient, but the meal was very disappointing we felt the food was very bland and we asked for double shot coffees which we definitely didnt get as the coffee was like dishwater. Again NO tiffin and nobody should come home from Ruthin without tiffin.

Good little café in the crafts centre with bright, lofty, spacious feel. Smart modern decor. I had the mushrooms, poached egg and asparagus with a hot chocolate and it was all tasty.

Visited here Sunday on a day out from Anglesey. Spacious contemporary surroundings and was very busy when we arrived but service was quick, efficient and most important of all friendly. Lovely Sunday Lunch with melt in the mouth beef, giant yorkshire puds and a great choice of veg. Had the homemade Banoffe Pie for pud and was one of the best I’ve ever had if not the best. Very reasonably priced too. Can highly recommend 😊

Lovely cafe, great food and service, might need a mortgage to get a coffee there though

We are regular visitors to this cafe. Food is usually nice but today I witnessed a particular staff member being extremely rude. She was disgruntled that a couple had sat down without track and trace, they said they hadn't seen the sign and would do it at the table. This did not satisfied the waitress and she was unnecessarily banging on that there was a sign.

This couple were wearing masks, they were happy to complete the track and trace but she kept on at them poor chaps. In the end they left. After they left she continued to talk about the couple to us and other customers as if to blame them for the altercation.

its not clear what she wanted the couple to do, get up and give the details by the door and sit down again?

and don't talk about your customers to other customers after you have harassed them enough to leave. I heard one of the couple say it's not the rules she objected to it was the waitresses manner. I would have been affronted too.

If you like good food and good service head to sugar plum 5 minutes down the road.
