The staff at this place is absolute fantastic and so is coffee and the food. For sure the place to hang out if you want to meet with all kind of interesting people from nearby training facilities, the local mountain rescue teams and people with a ton of knowledge of the area.

All the best from Norway, you guys are rockstars.

See you on the next training.

Popular cafe in a great setting, convenient for the hills and with lots of history. Portions are on the large side here and a great selection of cakes are available. Overall however, the quality of the coffee and the food wasn't great and the prices weren't cheap either. If you just want a good feed before or after a day in the hills however, this place will hit the spot.

Just what we needed after a long hike! They have a vegan breakfast, which was cheap but average (would’ve been nice to have some bread and mushrooms!). Vegan sausage roll also average, vegan cake was great. Nice outdoor seating (though near a road, so double-check if you’re noise-sensitive). Very friendly service. Good overall, quite cheap in price and probably the best option in the area.

We love this place, it's a great stop during or after a hike, amazing cakes and hearty portions, warm and welcoming. Very popular with outdoors enthusiasts and motorcyclists. Whilst rough and ready in terms of decor you are greeted with a warm welcome, no matter how muddy your boots are, helpful friendly staff and delicious food and drink. This is a much needed hug after a long challenging hike and the polar opposite of the quaint twee touristy tea rooms for the more faint hearted!

Its a gritty little jewel, hidden away in the shadow of Moel Siabod along the main road. Full of characters from the hill walking/ climbing scene. Food is great, large portions. Dog friendly and spacious.

Cool place like my house after a day outdoors, nice hot drinks ☕ and great collection of homemade scones and desserts 👌... 10/10 for the staff especially the dark haired waitress 👏

My first visit to this cafe on a recommendation and I was impressed.

Really friendly staff, good, honest and reasonably priced food, all set within a beautiful location.

My brunch, (Pork & Leek Sausages, Beans, Fried Egg and Chips £8.50), was tasty and filling; the sausages were lovely and the chips were genuinely decent, proper chips.

I also couldn't help but buy 3 pieces of the various cakes that were on display that were just too tempting to leave behind.

The atmosphere of the cafe is very relaxed, with lots of seating inside and out, lots of parking and clean toilet facilities.

The gallery was also interesting to look at, with some absolutely stunning shots of the surrounding area on show and for sale.

This cafe is definitely worth stopping at if you fancy a hearty snack and a good cup of tea/coffee while exploring the area.

Came here in the morning and ordered the Siabod breakfast. First time tasting the black pudding. It's unique but I doubt I will miss it. Coffee was just OK but diluted.
