Hard Lines Cafe & Roastery

Great spot for delicious coffee and some lovely grub. Lovely chilled, laid back vibe, friendly staff and great service. We Hard Lines coffee at home so was good to head to the source and will definitely be back!

A brilliant speciality coffee store on the outskirts of Cardiff City Centre.

I've heard of Hard Lines for a while and was eager to try their coffee and visit their store.

Great batch brew coffee and a wide selection of their retail roasted coffees are available.

Coffee excellent. Had the Huevos Rancheros which was good. The Brunch menu was tilted a little too far towards sweet rather than savory for me but it is an American themed place that said.

This being delivered through the filter of a mainly vegan/vegetation menu was a bit of a disappointment as someone who isn't a massive fan of streaky bacon (the only meat option) or too much sweet in the morning. Would have been happy with eggs on toast to be honest!

Decent craft beer on offer to drink in or takeaway & their coffee selection to takeaway is really good.

The coffee is amazing (they roast their own)

Food is great and the staff are friendly.
Takeaway food as well.

Tables and seating inside, serves nice breakfasts and it’s quite a popular place.
Basic benches outside are ok , but only for short waiting really - no tables outside.

I’ve had a full breakfast, which was lovely, as well as the vegetarian bean wrap, which was very nice 👌

Great espresso experience here lately, love the fact staff actually ask what beans you'd prefer to have of your espresso instead of assuming you want the house blend like most places, was definitely give them 6 stars if they provided it with a mini biscoff and a glass of water but regardless it was a 5* experience.
Place was clean, plenty of seating options and most important for coffee in Cardiff - it had parking near by.

Retro diner vibes at Hard Lines coffee cafe. ⚡️

On the weekend, we brunched our little hearts out at Hard Lines Cafe and now I am proposing it to be my new regular!

The theme of the cafe is so perfectly retro, exquisitely nailing the 1950s American diner vibe🇺🇸

An awesome menu, high quality coffee, gorgeous presentation, groovy aesthetic, lush staff and doggo friendly!! (BONUS) 🐶
…oh and the most adorable brand logo btw! I will be getting a tee!

We had….⚡️

Huevos Rancheros: corn tortillas topped with black beans, salsa roja, two runny fried eggs, crumbled feta cheese, pickled pink onions and coriander.

Fluffy pancake stack smothered in maple syrup, powdered sugar and fresh fruit.

Lemon meringue pie - because it was the weekend and why the hell not!! 🍋

I had my eyes on the breakfast burrito but sadly it wasn’t on - so I WILL be back, that is a promise!

I love going to Hard lines for an excellent coffee ☕ The breakfast and lunch is incredible and the selection is fantastic! My favourite thing about it is all the beautiful people that work there!! You won't find a nicer bunch to serve you than the staff at Hard Lines! 💕
