Severn Park Cafe

7 of us found this via Google for a nice little cafe to go and eat. The lady that runs it was lovely and friendly. The breakfasts were incredible and we are a real fussy bunch!! Plentiful food, very, very reasonable prices and lovely staff. What more could you want for a brekkie? Thoroughly recommend to all tourists/visitors to newtown.

What a let down. After a long drive up through Wales we stopped off in Newtown to stretch our legs and have a cup of tea and something to eat. We saw this cafe when we parked the car and thought ideal. When we entered we started to look at a menu on one of the tables when we were approached by a member of staff who quite bluntly said, these tables are not in use use a table with the table mats on and we stopped cooking at 2pm. So seeing this was 3pm so we gathered that the 'all day breakfast' must finish at 2pm and also no hot food is available after 2pm. So a cup of tea later we left. Very poor customer service, rude staff member. Great advertisement for Newtown.

Great place to eat, veggie breakfast very good and well presented staff are really nice well worth a visit when in newtown, good parking and close to bus station and the parks nearby if you want to walk off the hearty breakfast

They make the best full English cooked breakfast at great price x all other food is yummy too x at a great price . X definitely recommend

Very cold cafe...no heating on... radiator was turned off..they are making a profit but wont put a bit of heating on.....look after your customers!!!

Food is great, large portions and very good price. Coffee and tea also very nice. Girls at cafe are very friendly. Enjoyed our lunch here.

A round of toast consists of 1 slice in this cafe. Coffee was weak, and I guess 10am is too early for service with a smile. Its obvious that this cafe is for the local construction workers and Coach travelers do not warrant a good customer service.
Will definitely not return to this place next time I am passing through Newton. Not the best first impression of Newtown.
