A little gem of a cafe. Salads are amazing and always a good selection of main meals and cakes to choose from.

Superb café in lovely location. I had very tasty chicken and leek with baked potato, with a very generous pot of tea, for less than £10. It was extremely good value!

What a dreadful cafe! Ordered a pot of tea, a black coffee and a bacon sandwich. A tray carrying the tea and coffee were literally plonked roughly on the table and, without a bye or leave, the waitress quickly turned on her heel and left. The bacon sandwich took ages and was made using unappetising "Mother's Pride" bread smeared with margarine and containing 2 measly rashers of bacon and wasn't even cut in two!! The sandwich alone was £3.75. What a joke. Unless of course you were locals and regular customers. We noticed these were served swiftly and courteously.

Great location & reasonable service. We went there for breakfast & the portions were very generous and well cooked but the food is only transport cafe or cafeteria quality. The bread served is cheap sliced white and the sausages were cheap too. I have no problems with this type of food (and it was very cheap) but I can't help feeling that it should move a bit more upmarket. Its next door to a popular bakery and opposite two very good butchers so why not charge more & use their products. Just my thoughts but anyway don't let it stop you going there for a full English/Welsh breakfast 🙂
