So tasty. It’s an old school house. Park on the top road. Lovely friendly staff. Fabulous Welsh rarebits. Would definitely go back.

Stopped here for lunch and had a great rarebit. I highly recommend the coffee too as they use locally roasted Coaltown coffee. I even picked up a bag to take home! And their carrot and orange cake was delicious.

Lovely little place. Take your cheese on toast thoughts and put them in the bin. This is another level.
Both of us had the Spanish Chorizo which was divine. Certainly worth a visit, in fact, I will be if I'm in the area... and I mean in Wales.

Great little cafe with a variety of Welsh rarebit options, cakes/ice cream, and coffee/tea. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating in different little rooms/areas, so feels private even if there are more people. Menu isn't huge, but everything we had was delicious (Welsh tea options). Service was quick and friendly :) Great option if you're in the area.

Fantastic meal, brilliant service (spot the Welsh dragon game for the kids/adults) and great selection of Welsh rarebit. Also wonderful selection of gluten free options (basically everything on the menu as they supply gluten free bread). Finally.. a really nice gallery on the top floor. Highly recommend a visit.

This place was recommended to us by my cousin. It is utterly delightful and is in an old building that was an old school house. There is memorabilia dotted around such as lidded desks. I was impressed with the bio fuel furnace and a collection of local books you could read. We browsed a sweet little one on the history of Welsh drovers. Fascinating.
The choice of Welsh Rarebit was perfectly adequate and even an adventurous Mexican one. I opted for the seasonal one which had added pear and nuts.
The bread used was a large thick slice which was toasted to perfection. Honestly, every morsel was an explosion of flavours and simply delicious.
The ladies who own the place were delightful and on the day we went, they had baked an inspirational chocolate and lime cake. Wow is a good word to describe this.
I highly recommend this eatery as a must do when in the area.
