A brilliant place to pop in for a coffee and a chat.

Friendly staff. On first floor but a lift available capable of carrying a pram or wheelchair. We visited for breakfast. Choice of large or small. Thankfully we went with the small. Served in good time and joy, hot plates for hot food. The breakfast comprised of egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and black pudding. All cooked to perfection. Also included were 3 rounds of toast. I must also say that the coffee served was delicious. At less than £15 for everything it was worth every penny and we will definitely visit again when in the area.

Visited here the other day, have family local so have been several times, Jane the owner is lovely, unfortunately I have to say the food was a bit disappointing the last visit, we were a party of 7 all ordering a fried breakfast before our journey back to England.
They were out of sausages (fair enough) but there is a shop downstairs that sell them? two of our party said 'ok could we have a bit of extra a bacon instead please?'
When the food eventually arrived 40 mins later (short staffed) we had been given an extra egg each not bacon, quite disappointed when the breakfast cost £7.50 for a standard size one! (does not include drink for that price)
I feel guilty for this review as I really do like the owner but being nice does not detract from poor service or high prices when you don't get what you should for expensive food (Wetherspoons equivalent £3.85)
Not sure I will be going here again :(

As of September 2021, we were told the cafe had been closed x2 years, so any reviews on here are out of date! Don’t get disappointed like us!
