Chance & Counters - Board Game Café

We booked a table for the four of us and it was an absolute blast. We arrived a little bit late, but they were really understanding and even allowed us to finish our game of Dragoon before we left. The food and drinks are entirely vegan, but don't let this dissuade you because everything we had was amazing (I recommend the chilli nachos!). All of the staff were excited to have us, and helped us choose what to play with a smile. Their love for board games is clear as day, I wish them nothing but success. We'll deffo be back!

Plenty of games to choose from, staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy their job and the food was great specially the onion rings 😁😍👌

As always, we had a great time.

We usually have a 4 hour slot where we usually play a new game and then some familiar shorter games. If we don’t go in knowing what we want to play, the recommendations the staff have shared have been great.

Dog friendly is a real plus for us and the beers are great too.

Spent around £25-30 each for the table, 3-4 beers and some food.

The Food and drinks were delicious and really reasonably priced! Initially booked for 2hrs and then extended for 4hrs as we were having so much fun!

The staff were amazing and made really great game recommendations based on games we already enjoyed and explained how each one worked! This was really great as we were able to try out new games (which we loved)!

Had a ladies night with friends here. I had never been but had been wanting to for a long time. The staff are amazing, very helpful and so knowledgeable about the games there and ready to help. Superb!

I want to thank Rhys and his team for all the help and organization they did for my husbands 40th birthday party. We hired a room and had the food package - all the food was amazing, everyone commented on how good it was. It was really easy to organize everything by email. I was particularly impressed with how things were gluten free and the attention given to our allergy needs. We had chicken, beef and vegetarian burgers, dirty fries, nachos, chicken wings and cauliflower wings (which were the best!). The upstairs space is great for private events. Drinks service was great, very attentive. My husband's friends aren't big board gamers but we found some simple things that entertained us and I'll definitely be back to dip into something a bit more strategic in the future.

I've been here twice now and I look forward to going again. Staff are super friendly and are happy to help or recommend any of the wide range of board games they offer.
The food is a bonus and absolutely delicious. If I could give this place extra stars I would, my expectations were blown through the roof and the service is impeccable.

Absolutely incredible place! The food was absolutely amazing, if you go definitely get the loaded fries. One of our group is coeliac and the entire menu can be made gluten free and there were so many vegetarian and vegan options which was fantastic and left spoilt for choice!! Such a huge selection of board games too. What a great concept for a cafe. Will definitely be coming back!
