I thought I would treat myself to fresh bakery products. I got products not fresh! The lady serving had no patience but the good thing is given more time I may have wasted more money buying more inedible food. So I guess I should thank her.

The baguette was so chewy and dry the last time I experienced that was when I ate one that had been a few days old. Definitely not fresh. If they claim it is they are doing something wrong.

Bread pudding my favourite cake so have eaten a fair few. Well I won’t be back for more. Firstly never had one that was just a mouthful of crusts. Then there was the topping. Thank goodness I had a cup of tea to swallow it down with.

I thought it was a lovely village bakery unfortunately I was not right about that. I will not be back prices do not equal good quality food. I will be going to Lee on Solent for my next fresh bakery treat!

If I had read the reviews here. I wouldn’t have made the mistake of ordering my boy’s birthday cake at this shop. I am a regular customer and always come in to get cupcakes so I ordered a birthday cake three weeks prior to avoid disappointment or last minute rush as I just moved here recently. Got to the shop this evening to see the most horrid birthday cake. I am someone who is easily pleased and for me to feel so displeased with this cake says a lot. The two younger ladies were polite and saw my complaints ,unlike the older lady who literally rudely asked me to stand outside and wait for my refund. How are you rude to a mum who has planned her baby’s birthday, hoping to see the cake she asked for and is so disappointed with the outcome ? . I shed tears this night as I had to run around this late to get another cake for my boy for his birthday party which is tomorrow.I hope you are very happy as you were literally making fun of me . Thank you so much

We arrived just as they were closing for the day and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We purchased some soft baps and a selection of fresh cream cakes which were huge and everything was delicious. We thought that the prices were very fair especially when taking into account the amount of time and labour it takes to make and bake fresh good quality products.

When the office needs treats - we always get them from here. The best cakes in the whole area! Would never go anywhere else.

Great cakes, great service!! Recently ordered several large sponges, coffee and walnut, chocolate, Victoria sponge, carrot cake and 2 slices of vegan cake, all of which were delivered to my home as promised, all sliced as I'd requested. The lads at work loved them. Loads of comments about how tasty and how lovely and moist they were. "The best vegan cake I've ever had" was the comment I had from 2 of my work mates. Apparently I have to bring cake in every week now!! Thankyou to all the staff for their great service and tasty treats. We regularly get deep filled rolls from here too, which are always great, especially the breakfast baps!! Thankyou

Rude and unprofessional, especially the manager. She and her Staff could do with attending a customer service course. If you read through the comments, there is a theme of rudeness and poor service and highly defensive comments from management. Good managers listen to issues and strive to improve business, however, I suspect not this one, which is a shame as the chocolate cake is adorable.
