The CAKE Story

I must say this is the best cake shop in town. I bought a cake for my anniversary double tier it was amazing and delicious.My guests were absolutely eaten whole cake and asked me few times that where the cake story is!!! Love you guys especially the chef who made & decorate nicely for us. Thank you Cakestory!

Very highly recommend this place!! I have used Cake Story for several different occasions so far and they never disappoint. They are always happy to accommodate me even with such short notice (literally the next day). The cakes have always tasted fresh, delicious and just right- not too sweet and not too bland in comparison to supermarket ones! Their store is not too fancy or highly decorated but the service is impeccable and the prices are affordable. As you can see on the photos, you don't have to stick to a certain cake design either- you can modify and personalise a cake as much as you want.

We have used the Cake Story for all the cakes of our birthdays parties for the last few years. This included the amazing 21st birthday cake for our daughter which Cake Story use as a design on their website.
There is a wide selection of designs on their website which can be personalized to your wishes. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the product.
The cakes have a very light sponge with tasty fillings. We always order fresh buttercream topping . The cakes always taste fresh and not too sickly sweet like supermarket ones.
Service is always polite and friendly.
The best thing about Cake Story is that they can make a beautiful fresh cake with little notice. We have ordered a cake with just 3 days notice and that wasn't a problem for them.
The Cake Story is a hidden gem in Colchester. We thoroughly recommend them.

Excellant, delicious cakes. I have ordered several big bday cakes from cake storey over the last 2 years. Never been disappointed. Always made as described. Taste amazing. Butter cream great choice. I always show them pictures of cake ideas face to face so no confusion and they always get it spot on. Very helpful staff. Great prices too. Highly recommended.

Have ordered birthday cakes a few times here. Friendly staff and the cakes are well made and priced fairly. Go for the slightly more priced egg- free cake option.

Made a lovely cake for my daughters 1st birthday at short notice. Looked exactly as requested and tasted great.
Have just sent in another order request online for my sons birthday and hope to hear back soon.

Phoned at 10am and picked cake up at 2pm on the same day it was New Years eve as well, was Lovely cake! Everyone said it was the best cake they have had! Will be using every birthdays/celebration just great prices!!
