The atmosphere and the staff were lovely. I liked their hot chocolate. However, the cakes look better on the outside than they taste. I thought they would be softer.

We came for breakfast. My wise husband said the empty tables are a clue. He was right. Cold food. Weird Welsh rarebit. Dry soggy toast. Had to ask for butter. Not enough oat milk for coffee or almond milk. Air of an old church hall. Hmmm🤔

would give 0 stars if i could. Food came stone cold waitress went to sort it out and it came back and the outside was warm but was cold all the way through (which i’m sure can be dangerous when reheating meat) she had obviously just put it in the microwave. missed out other items of my order that i had paid for and was offered a free cake in return although i had already paid for the missing items. No one ate their food as it was all disgusting. Was told a manager would call the same day to arrange a refund but have heard nothing 2 days later and cannot get through to them. disgusting would avoid waste of money.

Expensive and poor value for money. We had breakfast and felt totally ripped off to be honest. Cheap nasty sausages. Only quality component was the toast. Wont be having breakfast here again.

Cakes are good though - that’s what’s saved it from one star.

Inedible food and appalling service. They charge 20% for the service, but it looks like the staff does not want to provide any service. I had to ask to clean the surface of our table before we ordered anything, because it was sticky and dirty, but they did not care. The mushroom risotto was inedible, and the size was more of a starter, rather than the main course. It was disgusting, I could not eat it and left it almost untouched, yet they charged full price, £11.95, and did not even ask why I did not eat it! The pancakes were very average. The mains were brought while we were in the middle of having tea and cakes, which they served us before bringing the mains. And we had to queue to pay the bill at the till. Shame on you, Patisserie Valerie.

Went in there today with my grand daughter for a quick coffee and a cake. We ordered via the QR code on the table, we waited and waited after half an hour I went to counter to be told they had forgotten to put the order through. We got our money back and left, as did several other customers . Shocking way to run a business. Will not be going back. Get some staff who are properly trained and compentent ! This keeps showing as 5 star , I gave it 1 !! None would be better

I’ve had average service from patisserie Valerie before. However, this time a tall gentleman in a black shirt and two young lady’s really made this experience special. Quick, simple and friendly service. Cannot fault the trio!

Many thanks to those three!

Drove an hour to Winchester to see the markets, establishment looked lovely outside but inside was grim.

Overpriced food, dirty tables and dining areas.

Food was awful, bland and felt like the bare minimum was given when making the meals.

Ruined the day - the only saving grace was the lovely and helpful waitress who had just started two days ago.

Will not return.
