Harry Batten Cakes

We ordered our wedding cake through Harry Batten - we went for a three tiered raspberry and white chocolate cake after trying different flavour samples and it was perfect! The cake was light and moist and super moreish. It was delivered in plenty of time on the day and Harry even ensured that the flowers on the cake matched the rest of the flowers at the venue (and that the ones selected weren’t poisonous!) We had plenty of leftovers which we dished out to our close friends and family the next day to take home, which was a great way to keep the memories of the wedding going.

The prices were also incredibly reasonable for a wedding cake - no hiking of prices just because the word ‘wedding’ was mentioned (something you massively appreciate as your wedding planning and budget steamrollers!) and the wow factor was 100% still there.

My partner and I booked Harry back in 2019 to make our wedding cake, and earlier this month we FINALLY got our special day. Harry was amazing through everything – always responsive to emails and so helpful and accommodating. More importantly though, our cake was absolutely perfect. It looked stunning – just what we wanted – and it tasted incredible too (and we're not the easiest people to please, as I'm a baker and my now-husband is a head chef!). We had so many compliments from guests too. Would 100% recommend.

I am lucky to have experienced a glorious Harry Batten Birthday Cake! Beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious Rose & Elderflower for a 'Gemini Celebration'. I missed the candles and initial eating, but arrived in time to enjoy a good slice, and to take a photo before it was all gone! It's very more-ish ;) and although big for the number of people it still disappeared.. Helen said "Everyone said 'Oh WOW!!' 'It's amAzing!!' ~ & added that she doesn't usually like cake icing but "this is divine, beautiful, just beautiful" ~ it was very smooth, delicately flavoured, and not too sweet. So a very BIG THANK YOU for a Perfect & Fabulous Special Cake which was a highlight of the occasion & greatly enjoyed & appreciated :)))

We ordered a cake for a very important anniversary from Harry Batten, I ordered online for the following week and took advantage of the included local delivery. The cake arrived well packaged (in a strong box), in a refrigerated van within the chosen 2h time window. We opted for the 12" Gold Leaf Cake as the party was expected to have around 40 guests, there was more than enough cake, in fact only half was consumed (there was also other cakes/pastries on the day) but it was great to have plenty to go around as I was anxious about having enough. We chose the Rose & Elderflower sponge which was nice and not overwhelming in terms of flavour. The macaroons and fresh roses adorning the cake were stunning and guests commented on how gorgeous it was. Would definitely use them again. Thanks Harry and team.

Ordered the cheeseburger cake for my sons 18th birthday. It was amazing, better than the online picture. Arrived in the 2 hour slot booked and tasted delicious. Had many compliments.

Harry Batten's service is completely seamless. It was very easy to select and pay for the cake online, I followed up to check all was OK and got a prompt response. The cake arrived on the day perfectly and was a complete hit with all the guests. We added a cake topper to the beautiful burgundy flowers and wow - our cake just stole the show. Our wedding cake from Harry Batten was absolutely perfect! It was the only thing on our day that was a surprise to us both and it was sooooo worth the wait. It looked incredible and tasted absolutely amazing. We chose tie flavours that were slightly 'unconventional', sent pictures and a rough design for what we were hoping to have and the end result was accurate, unique, and beautiful. As a service, this supplier was reliable and punctual: we had to postpone our wedding two times during COVID-19 restrictions, and, throughout, Harry was contactable and responsive to our changes and needs. Harry Batten created a stunning wedding cake for us this past weekend, when I came out to see the cake for the first time after the ceremony I was absolutely delighted!! He created a cake that was beyond what I had asked for. The cake was delicious and all our guests raved about the flavours, some saying it is one of the best wedding cakes they have had!
