I ordered a cake to be made for my Granddaughter Alice Rose's 1st birthday, having searched for cake bakers near my post code on Google, and I was in awe of what was delivered by a really lovely lady of phenomenal talent. I was speechless when I set eyes on this magnificent and beautiful cake. It was out of this world. My whole family and I, including of course Alice Rose, all loved this beautiful cake, it tasted as good as it looked too,. The sponge was so beautifully soft and melted in your mouth, absolutely delicious , we could live on cake this good! My family used to buy birthday cakes for the bakers who baked for HM The Queen and other top bakers but even they pale into insignificance compared to the cake this amazing lady baked for me. I cannot find words grand enough to describe the cake and how wonderful it tasted. It was truly awesome. I am going to have all family special occasion cakes made by this lady in the future, she is second to none. I can highly recommend her, you will never be disappointed. Great value for money and amazing creative talent, and what is even more surprising is that I rang her to order the cake a week before it was required - she made this beautiful cake in record time, delivered it personally and with a smile and I could not ask for more than that. Thank you so much Sue you really are the very best cake baker on the planet. You did us proud and all of my family loved this cake as much as I did. Amazing, love it! Kaz XX

Having ordered a few drippy cakes and some cupcakes from Smashing Cakes and Bakes over the past year I have no hesitation in giving 5 stars. Sue is amazing, the cakes always look fantastic and taste beautiful. Sue goes out of her way to deliver the exact cake that you have imagined and I’m looking forward to the next time I need to order another delicious cake. 😋

I love the cakes from Burscough Cake Company. The cupcakes are beautifully formed especially when in a bouquet. People actually think they are different flowers. The colours used are fabulous. The birthday,wedding and other large cakes are always fantastic designs and so perfectly formed in all their designs and colours. Above all the taste is superb. I cannot praise Sue Giles,the owner and designer as well as actually making the cakes,enough. The cakes I had from her for Christmas made a marvellous Centre piece for our table so much so I purchased some for a couple of family members for their tables. I have had bouquets from her for friends over the last year.

Ordered a christening cake for my daughter. Communication before was excellent and the cake was spectacular! Everyone loved it, it looked amazing and it was so delicious. Red velvet with the best white chocolate filling!

Had a few cakes of Sue and she is amazing. She is a very talented lady. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my cakes. Always fresh and tastes scrumptious xx

I have used the Burscough cake company quite a few times and never been disappointed. From my wedding cake which looked amazing and tasted delicious 😋 she also did a separate cake for my friend who’s celiac.
I have also had the cupcakes boxes and the beautiful cupcake Bouquet which are stunning.
Highly recommend!
