Cake Box Bethnal Green

Bought cake today for my daughter's birthday. Fruits on top was disgusting taste. It wasn't fresh at all. Heard cake box cake is good but my experience very disappointing.

Cake is tasty? It's tasty enough. It has no eggs because it's all about whipped cream. Cheap, less effort, super heavy.
Let's say that, for an average person with no experience in baking, this could be considered super delicious. But if you have some knowledge and skills in baking cakes, you will probably know that this is just a cheap short cut to make cakes.
I still enjoyed my slice and will probably purchase again in the future. However, this is nothing compared to a real Italian or French sponge cake.

My other experiences at Cakebox were great but not the Bethnal Green branch. To keep it short, I ordered a cake a week ago for a birthday party. They confirmed the order and gave me updates leading up to the birthday date. I could not attend to pick up the cake due to me hosting it so I had some friends pick it up. I received a text message stating the cake was ready for pick-up on the birthday day and I had some friends pick it up. When they arrived they told me the cake was not even made at all, yet I received the messages that it was. Not only was this terrible customer service but also stressful at the time. My friends told me they made the cake on the spot and unfortunately arrived late. I have used Cakebox before and has not let me down but this branch unfortunately did. In future I will still use Cakebox but I recommend to others to avoid the Bethnal Green branch

Great service and best cake ever

I usually get my cakes from cakebox but this time i was very disappointed. The picture in the middle was alot smaller than what they advertise on their website. The zebra print around the sides were coming off, the picture in the middle was all bubbly, came up in all the pictures! I wish i got another cake from somewhere else. Maybe standard cakes are fine but ill never order a designed cake from here ever again! Order pick up time was 4 but the cake wasn’t ready even though it was ordered maybe a week in advance.

Updated: Although the experience yesterday was bad, ive changed my review to 5stars as they were kind enough to email me to apologise and give me a new cake at no extra cost.

I was in desperate need of cupcakes for a party and I didn't have time to order online, so I called and a kind woman on the other line said there are some available for pick up, which was amazing and I was overjoyed.

Local CakeBox. Friendly customer service and top quality celebration cakes including their cup cakes, perfect for egg free friendly customers. I recommend everyone local to support the business and enjoy the treats!
