Wilkinson Cameras

We were visiting our cousin, who whilst walking, suggested this shop as I am into my cameras. Initially we peeped inside after my wife suggested to price up a lens I am after for Christmas. We were met by two very friendly staff who acknowledged our presence and gave me the information needed. After a quick think we decided to buy the lens, but also I asked would there be a possibility of having my sensor cleaned? Very short notice, but they happily obliged. 40 minutes later I returned and was greeted with, given that you have bought a lens, the sensor clean is on the house..Wow! Thank you. I was after a tripod for some time and was going to wait, but because of the way I was dealt with, I decided to buy a new tripod. This is how a rapport is made, from a simple hello, to a major purchase, a bit of service and another purchase. Not to mention a glowing review as to why, if you own a camera and want to add to your equipment, I believe this shop should be in your sights. Went into the shop on Friday 5th July to buy a robust camera for a 6 yr old! We were given excellent advice, very detailed and helpful, we were able to examine the camera recommended and have a sensible discussion with the staff. An added bonus was to come home and find the same camera on Amazon at a higher price. However we very much valued being able to make our purchase knowing what we were buying instead of buying online "in the dark". An excellent shop with well informed staff.

My first visit here, friendly and knowledgeable staff. After buying most of my gear online these days it was a great experience actually going to a shop to have a play with the product and chat with someone knowledgeable before you buy. We should support independent small businesses like these, will be visiting again soon.

Excellent communication regarding order, quick delivery and courteous helpful advice over the phone... could not ask for more.
Products also as described?... no better.

The store suffers a little for its small size, which limits range and availability. It feels like the team lacks some engagement too, in such a specialist store passionate people make all the difference.

A thorough and exceptional attempt was made to rectify a fault concerning deletion of precious files. Unfortunately, the fault could not be rectified immediately, but we were well advised as to the correct course of action to take. Staff were extremely helpful.

Popped into the Chester shop this afternoon after deciding I couldn't live with my camera bag any longer. I bought a Manfrotto bag which I'm very pleased with, and spent quite a while chatting with a very pleasant chap about all things camera. A really nice experience, we'll be back!
