Liked: There was plenty of space so the tents and vans were well spaced out. The views were panoramic for miles with Pendle Hill in the distance. There is plenty of walking direct from the site, such as Bronte Way and Pendle Way. There is one pub about 10 mins walk down the road, which served good food and it was easy to get a table. The site had 2 portaloos which was fine. No water but this was provided if asked for. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The welcome we received was lovely and genuine, and the pitch was superb - great level grass that drained really well and was easy to knock pegs into.

Site owners were helpful and friendly, and the site is just as promised - wild camping with portaloos on site, that are regularly maintained, and absolutely stunning views across to Pendle.

In an ideal world, there would be access to water here, but we did perfectly well with what we had with us - make sure you bring some, or be prepared to walk down and up a steep hill to nip to the shop!

Dog-friendly, raised fires allowed and everyone we spoke to was friendly and having a lovely time. Short walk to local community pub and shop. We'll definitely be back again.

Disliked: The site was exactly as advertised and we have no complaints at all!

Liked: Incredibly beautiful spot in gorgeous natural surroundings. You really feel like you're wild camping rather than on a traditional site. Plenty of space making it a peaceful and quiet stay with a friendly atmosphere around the site. Matthew and Linda told us everything we needed to know about our stay and we just rocked up, pitched up and forgot the world! Site well looked after and toilets kept clean and well stocked. Perfect stay in a perfect spot - will 100% be back.

Disliked: Not a dislike as such but a word to say if you're in a campervan/motorhome probably best to bring levelling ramps in case you can't find a level spot (and remember to take them home with you - something we failed at miserably!).

Liked: Lovely location, great views and perfect for watching the sun set. Great to have someone check you in and advise about the ground. Even though there were a few groups of people everyone was respectful of the piece and quiet. Loads of room to feel like you have privacy too.

Disliked: I know it’s ‘wild camping’ but would of liked a tap at least for water. That’s the only reason why I gave it 4*. Other than that, it is exactly what it says it is.

Liked: The space, the beautiful view, the location.
Loads of room between campers, done people were playing music, but quietly. One group turned up the music about 10.30pm and the manager of the site was there in minutes and respectfully told them to turn it down, very well managed.

Disliked: No great facilities, portaloo only and no running water or bins. But the clues in the name, it is a very basic set up and that suits us.
