It is a decent Scout campsite; with toilet block, a hall, flat, comfy grass to put a tent up. However, I was there with my DofE groups but there were also other such groups. Those groups spoiled for everyone. Making lot of noise until late (after 11p.m. on Saturday night), the washing-up sinks were strewn with food, packaging, pot noodles on the grass nearby the washing-up block.
Nice campsite if you don't share with such groups. Check if there are no other DofE groups if you want to stay there.

The most wonderful place. Stunning field and wood. A lovely campsite to take your School and Scout groups too.

my daughter went with school for 4 days she could not shower as the showers were filthy dirty and the toilets were disgusting.

Decent camping ground, not much attractions other than the field. Toilets there are horrible and smell almost like a mouldy chlorine. Look like they haven't been cleaned in quite a while.

Great scout campsite, large open grassy field and big area of woodland. Perfect for bivi and hammock camping in the wood, or group camp in the field. The site team have been working on the trees which has opened up the area around the main buildings. Popular with DofE groups, but always a quiet spot to be found.

Good site, facilities were ok, good for groups who just want an open field and some woods

As part of the Scouts organization you get cheaper prices for your expeditions. I did my gold award expedition here and the venue is brilliant. There's plenty of toilets, a huge field for larger groups and a long stretch of woodland, brilliant for hammock camps and campfires. Will definitely be visiting again at some point.

Visited Braid Wood to complete the first aid course. Grounds are large and it's well into the countryside which you would expect for a Scout camp. The main building is large and seems well equipped.
