Liked: The site is well maintained and clean. Very nice area and relaxed atmosphere. Easy to find with plenty of amenities in short distance to the site.

Disliked: Only minor points that could improve a stay on the site. Clearer arrival instructions would be a benefit. Signage to indicate areas for tent pitches only. The washing facilities are basic, but could benefit from having slightly larger toilet and shower stalls.

Liked: Lovely friendly welcome, shown straight to our pitches. We had requested to be together with friends & all was perfect.
Pitches were on the whole really level.
Newley refurbished childrens play area was great & enjoyed by both the young & older children.
Toilets & showers were basic but clean with lovely hot water. New shower & toilet block in the next field along.
Perfectly located with access on to the canal for lovely walks, Cannock Chase really close too.
We will definitely be returning & wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Liked: Just had the best bank holiday stay hear!
Family of 2 adults and 3 kids aged 5,9 and 15 and we all loved every min of it.
On arrival we was met by the owner who was lovely and had everything ready for us showed us to are pitch witch was nice and flat. (Do recomend a long huck up lead as some of the pitches you have to run a lead across to). Nice secured site with a barrier. Toilets and shower was nice. New ones are also being built. Play area was fantastic, new to the site. my kids loved it and it helped all the kids make friends was lovely to see. Ice cream van came round. Owners even put a large TV up to watch football on. And had a little bar going too. Site is so close to everything shops, pub, canal. Lovely walks and close to a lake you can even go swimming in. Was so much to do. Can not recommend this site enough.

Liked: Situated in a beautiful area, very peaceful. Not far from some lovely walks.
Very friendly owners. Toilet frequently topped up with loo roll & very clean facilities. Shower is great though.
Security gate present & working.
It's clear the owners work very hard to provide a lovely place to stay.

Disliked: Unfortunately there is only 1 ladies & 1 gents toilet & shower available, this is not the owners fault, but the council who won't give permission for more. This led to queues.
Some folks allowed their dogs to run around off the lead & foul the grass, this was acted on by the owners though.
Some campers had no thought for others & literally let their kids run rampant and screamed obscenities at them. Not a mark against the site but it did put a dampner on things for us.
We were lucky to have a flat pitch but not all off them were.

Liked: The site is very well maintained with the addition of a play area for children which has just been installed. The owners were really welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed before they left us to enjoy our stay. The site is close to a farm shop and cafe and has easy walks to a local spar shop, canals, river and the shudburgh Estate. We stayed for 2 nights and would like to visit again to explore the area more.

Disliked: Toilet and shower area very clean and maintained, just very basic, but knew this when I booked and didn't put us off.

Liked: Very friendly and welcoming owners. Flexible about arrival time was great and allowed us to have a more productive day. Good location - Shugborough, canal walks and farm shop all very close. Good value too.
Pitches were good and level - the hard standing with adjacent grass pitch. Also, the center circle field was great for family and friends and kids to play

Disliked: Shower - in the new block great size and space but very very hot and unable to alter the temperature -
The new block would benefit from some hooks, shelves to put toiletries on, mirror, bin and a sanitary bin in one of the toilets (only one toilet had one)
The wash up area near the pink/blue toilet - struggled with the water again - the temperature and turning on and off- seemed under a lot of pressure coming out of the tap and difficult to control flow or temperature.

Liked: The site was lovely, bit exposed but that meant I got lots of sunshine and a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed the walk by the canal, fields and the nearby farm-shop. The staff on site were very friendly and there was a lovely family atmosphere with plenty of room. Seeing 'campfires' and fairy lights on some of the visiting vans was great on a warm autumn evening.

Disliked: The portacabin facilities were a bit basic but it was a one-night stay so that was ok.
Wi-Fi would have been good but I managed quite happily without it.

Liked: Very welcoming hosts they were having a bonfire and fireworks and offered us a pitch further away from this as we had our dog with us. We didn’t use the facilities as we are self contained and choose to use ours. We loved that you can have a fire pit on a chilly evening. Very close to Shugborough and canal walks. Cosy pub and farm shop in strolling distance. Suited us as an overnight stay and would be happy to return .

Disliked: Nothing on this trip.
