The review is on the beach only.
You can park directly on the beach here. As you pay for parking you're provided with useful info you might want to refer to.
One side is suitable for animals, and the other for those wanting to take in dinghies, jet ski's, etc.
Water's clean, but the beach isn't the best because of the previous mentioned and well needed amenities. Make of it what you will, we still had a nice few hours there.

Gorgeous beach, very spacious and it was great fun driving on the sand!
£5 parking fee (cash only) that is paid on entrance but I did see a few cars park on a nearby road.
Toilets, ice cream van and lots of beach patrol vehicles who were very active.
Water was very clear, we even saw fish!
All in all a beautiful beach and great afternoon!

Returned from a 1 week stay with my family including two very young children. Can’t fault the location of this site if you love the beach and we had many a happy time on the beach. However I wouldn’t recommend this site nor stay again. For the price the facilities are very basic and wardens are super super rude! Without clear reason. There is loud music until 11pm and then loud talking thereafter. Fine if you’re after a party but not with young kids. And kids on electric scooters bombing it about at over the speed that cars are permitted on the site, unsupervised. It’s a shame because if the staff were more friendly and the price reflective of what’s on offer it could be an amazing site.

Rarity to find a beach you can drive on in the UK, but also is incredibly clean. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, and went on one of the hottest days of the year. Only complaint is that you need to get there early for a spot close to the facilities, and because it's remote, the road leading up to it can be a little chocked (not really made for all the SUVs that were there.) Otherwise a brilliant beach.

I've no idea how this place has such high reviews. I think they must just be relying on their location. Access to it is a complete pain; either via a several mile long single track. Or running the gauntlet of a road that's reduced to a single lane due to people not wanting to pay to park on the beach. The pitches, if they could be called that, were more suitable for a quad biking course. There's only one shower-block, which closes daily from 12:00 until 14:00. I'm pretty sure they've not got a team of cleaners sanitising the place, so why not shut half for an hour and then the other half for the remaining time... Not that a "deep clean" is going to save the showers. Whoever has been "fixing" parts of it has never heard of stainless steel, rusty L brackets and screws abound! And to top it off the coffee and butty van shut early on the day we were leaving. I'm sure my wife heard several more complaints from me, but I think I've repressed them as too traumatic. The site's a dump, but staff were friendly enough.

We love this campsite! We've been twice now and both times were perfect 👌. Right next to the beach, great wash facilities, butty van and home cooked pizzas on site and a fantastic smelling Jamaican food truck on certain nights! Helpful, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and we will be back next year!

My family and I love this place being able to drive on to the beach means you can take all your paraphernalia with you and have it to hand. It does get busy in the summer months and there is a charge during the high season of £5 to bring your car on.

There are two areas one which allows dogs and one which doesn’t. It’s that big this doesn’t affect you in any way.

Black Rock is great in all seasons we kayak here in summer, walk the dogs in winter and just come later in the autumn to enjoy the fabulous sunsets and watch the horses early in the morning… truly a beach for all seasons… and one to make memories on x

This is such a nice place in a great location for not only the beach but for exploring Wales. It's a really friendly place and really well maintained too. The shower blocks are clean and there are plenty of showers toilets etc. We go back every year.
