We come back every year. This campsite is just how we like them to be - quiet, never overcrowded, with lots of space left for games in the middle of the field. It's a 2 min walk to the cliff top to see the sea and there are never any midges due to sea breezes (!!) A 5 or 20 minute walk to the nearest lovely pebble or sandy beaches.
There is a really different and creative play area for kids. Who wants a boring old standard climbing frame when you can sit in a boat or swing on a buoy?? Much better :)
We love Pete who is always welcoming and helpful. The entrance to the site is brilliant as he makes fantastic, quirky, artistic displays of his beach clean-up finds - colourful buoys and nets and driftwood....we love it - it makes us smile whenever we come into the yard.
There is a strong environmental message to the site - hence lots of recycling facilities and messages about water saving, chemicals etc
The toilets/washing areas are basic, but well equipped and always clean.
Fires possible as long as above ground - ie not spoiling the grass.
Like minded folk will love it - you know who you are! It's a special place.

Right on the coast and within a short walk to a gorgeous pebble beach! This small and simple campsite has pitches with and without electric hook up. The showers, toilets and sinks were decent. 20p for hot water. Washing up area. Phone charging area. The facilities could do with some tlc but the nesting swallows were a real treat 😊 we would absolutely return!

Just returned from a 3 night stay in the pod on the sea view field.
The pod was spotless, well equipped with toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge, heater, electric points, tables and comfy mattresses.
Outside the pod there is a spacious deck with chiminea, picnic table, reclining chairs and storage boxes.
It was warm and cosy inside with plenty of room for two or more.
You can park next to the pod.
Toilet facilities were right nearby and we had no complaints as they were always clean and well stocked.
Hot showers were available for a very reasonable 20p.
Water points close by.
The site is on the Welsh coastal path and we had some fabulous walks direct from the site. The area was beautiful and the views were amazing.
Plenty of gorgeous beaches a short walk away, hardly anyone on there.
This site is very laid back, peaceful and tranquil. Very well run without loads of petty rules and regulations.
Pete the owner is really lovely and welcoming.
We spent 3 nights relaxing by our pod, in glorious weather, taking in the scenery and the sunsets. Plenty of seals to be seen basking in the sea and lovely walks along the beautifully maintained coastal path.
A short drive to Shops and busier towns, but we didn’t want to go far from the site as we were so relaxed and comfortable there.
We didn’t want to come home and will be returning very soon and regularly. Love it!

Lovely campsite. Stunning views and lots of space per pitches. Off the beaten track. A real gem. Owner and staff very helpful.

Shame there are a few miserable Campers on here this week who seem to not understand Children and that they like to play! Is this not a family friendly campsite!! ...
Surely a Goal Net is for use during a game of football!?

Facilities are very poor, no hot shower, no light in toilet. Coastal walks are beautiful.

Such a great campsite! Lovely views and decent toilets and showers that were always clean. Also literally on the coastal path so can go for walks straight from campsite and watch amazing sunsets every night.

Penrallt is a one off. The proprietor, Pete, is a determined eco aware warrior, determined to reuse and recycle. This gives the campsite a place with real personality that you are going to love or not like. Pitches are immaculate, flawless. Shower and toilet facilities are based within traditional outbuildings and are idiosyncratic but totally individual and unique. There may be flaking whitewash and the odd spider's web but the showers are fit for purpose.
This site very much reflects the personality of the proprietor. I loved it and I hope you do too

Best campsite I've ever been to in well over 40 years of camping. Definitely my happy place in a nigh-on perfect location. Pete (the owner) is an absolute diamond geezer.
