Celtic Camping & Bunkhouse Accommodation

Liked: The site overall was great. Such a relaxed atmosphere and the staff when checking in were great, so welcoming. We came away as a group - my partner and two children, my parents, my niece, our friends with a young child and also our dog so the choice to pitch up wherever we wanted and take as much room as we wanted was ideal. The EHU worked for all 4 pitches without a problem and access to drinking water and chemical disposal was straight forward and simple. Even though the weather was awful, we all still had a great time. The site’s staff were constantly doing the rounds and checking that everything was ok. We saw reviews saying no signal but we are on Three and had enough signal to stream movies in the night, the others in our group who weren’t on the same network had no signal at all.

Disliked: The only downside for us was the toilet/shower block at the blue lagoon field. I appreciate it’s a farm site but, one toilet for the field and then a few portaloos just isn’t enough. The container style facilities weren’t terrible but could do with being updated or replaced completely. Saying that, there are better facilities at the main area. This wasn’t a major problem for us, but worth mentioning for anyone else considering staying here.

Liked: Fabulous location - lots of space and freedom to choose your own pitch. Super views of the sea and coast and spectacular sunsets. Very convenient for accessing the coastal path. Good facilities and very friendly and helpful staff and owner, Ian. Really impressed by the ethos underpinning the development of the farm. Will definitely be returning hopefully next year and will recommend to friends and family as a wonderful place to stay. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Whitesands and St. David's but easy to access both.

Disliked: Nothing - couldn't have been better!

Liked: The views are beautiful. Close to St Davids. The staff were very friendly. The shop is handy.

Disliked: This campsite is overpriced for what it is. It was extremely busy and the facilities are old and dirty. There is lots of big groups who make noise into the night and the free for all method to find a pitch is not ideal. This is fine if you want a party atmosphere but not ideal for a small young family. The second night we did manage to search the campsite for a quieter pitch on the top field which was very far away from facilities but suited us better. Portaloo toilets are in the fields but they are often dirty, broken and there is no way to wash or sanitise hands. Unfortunately we would not go back to this campsite.

Liked: Amazing views and access to a little cove which had seals and a seal pup.
The campsite had good facilities and we camped close by with electric hook up. The guys who run the site were all really friendly and helpful.
The WiFi was very good too. Admittedly we were staying very near the bunk house and buildings but it was a great connection.
You could have fires and there was a small shop. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definately return.

Disliked: The toilets on our first and second day were really dirty and were not cleaned very well. This did improve but I think they could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Liked: Great location, fantastic views all around, convenience in many aspects including fabulous set of amenities, a shop open until late offering all sorts of products covering basic needs. On top of being an affordable camping site, the staff is friendly and helpful, which makes the overall experience very enjoyable.

Disliked: The site could do with more thorough cleaning all around, it doesn't feel dirty but it definitely could be improved. Also, the WIFI signal is quite poor around the site.

Liked: An absolutely wonderful campsite with great facilities, clean toilets and showers, hot water in the hut area, as well as toasters, charge points, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer. The views are breath taking. Lovely walks along the edge of the cliff, Blue Lagoon not far away, White Sands beach a short drive too. A fantastic location

Disliked: Nothing really, water power from showers was a bit low but only on one day

Liked: The scenery was amazing. Lots of space to pitch up on. So easy for bigger groups with multiple bookings. Communal areas were great, food was lovely - we were a group of 12 vegans, so was so nice to have options for us which were very tasty!
Water equipment hire was super easy and so much fun !
The shower blocks were amazing - better than my shower at home (if you catch it when not many others are using them).

Disliked: The toilet block in the blue lagoon pitch was not the best, it was blocked a few times.

Stayed here for a few nights the grounds are big and spacious and dog friendly. It overlooks the sea which is lovely to wake up to.

We had breakfast which was expensive for what you actually got. Each day something would be missing off the breakfast. One day we waited about 40 minutes for our food we were told they needed to feed the school trip of kids which was fine but when we received our breakfast wow the portion sizes were even smaller. Kitchen staff are pretty rude too no customer service skills. One of the chefs came storming out and grabbed all the cereal boxes and loafs of bread from the sides and stormed back into the kitchen. I think some guest's thought it was a help yourself Services.
We went to ask about the Internet at reception as we were struggling to connect. Again we found the man on reception to be rude short and abrupt. Maybe he's asked 50 times a day but still 🤷‍♀️
Overall I'm not sure we would stay here again. Which is a shame as we had a great holiday but it was a let down else where.
