We are an active couple with lots of wild camping and camping experience. We value small camp sites with basic facilities. We chose the Barn Campsite to avoid crowds and caravan parks. The location is lovely, 20 mins to the beach, beautiful views. However, their website is quite misleading. There are certainly no “new shower blocks”, the showers are in an old portocabin without any drains or filters, and the dirty water going directly into the ground. 2/4 showers were broken (09/2020) You pay £1 for 5mins. The showers were dirty and certainly not Covid friendly. The men’s shower didn’t have a door. 2/3 women’s toilets were broken and haven’t been cleaned. The website says “family friendly”. There was machinery just left out and unfortunately quite a lot of rubbish lying around.
The fields are beautiful but we were not happy with the facilities and Covid measures.

Been coming on here for 12 years. It has been covid friendly and is not dirty and cleaned 3 to 4 times a day. New shower block was installed because the old one was In toilet. Always clean and tidy. Field is kept lovely and clean. Rubbish can you be found at the bins which is situated and front of entrance. The owners deb and rich are lovely and very friendly lovely campsite and always go back.

Very well situated for the station and a 20 min walk to the beach ⛱️ but that's about it I'm afraid 😨 toilets were disgusting no paper or hot water and the showers also very poor not worth the money loads of other sites a lot cleaner around the area ?

Stayed last week for two nights. Whilst we were setting up a dog ran and attacked another dog that was playing by the caravan, the dog was ok but the dogs owner was very shaken up, we almost packed up again but we did stay in the end. The first night was ok but the second night was very loud, shouting loud music being played! The toilets were not clean, only two were working, there was never any toilet roll, no working hand dryer and the sanitary bins were overflowing with no lids on! There is a sink unit for dishes but there was dirt/mud all over it and only a cold tap on it! The showers are in a old metal containers and are £1 for five minutes but I didn't feel they were clean enough to use. Such a shame as the site very central for trains to the beautiful surrounding areas.

Absolutely brilliant! Debbie who is now running the site alone is doing an amazing job! She's very helpful and friendly! Cheap and cheerful campsite! Very close to the beach ⛱️

I am a person with a foreign accent trying to call the place and a lady called “Debbie” hearing my accent hung up on me not giving me proper directions to the place which I was willing to recommend. I’m disappointed by racism, should have probably reported it.

Lovely quiet, tidy camp site, very welcoming owners. Me and my partner had a great time, Everything you need within walking distance. Can't wait to come back! Will definitely be staying here again.
