Chase Lane Plates

Terrible place to buy number plates. I ordered it via eBay and the number plate glue strip was already coming off within less than 1 month of use and less than 50 miles driven with them on. Seller didn’t want to offer any type of replacement. Very poor service. You should be ashamed of yourself and your dreadful company. Shame on you!

I ordered a set of plates for my Morgan and requested classic pressed plates being promised next day delivery. when the plates arrived 7 days later and scratched and in a modern type face, I contacted the Chase Lane Plates for refund, I was originally told the owner was on holiday, then the account lady was not in until Thursday where the refund would be processed, today I got a call from the owner, saying to take any issue up with my credit card provided ! Beware this 2 bob outfit will do anything to swerve giving a refund. I have now taken this up with Barclaycard and will issue county court proceedings to recover the money.

I also had poor service. I tried to phone 2 separate phone numbers but no one replied. I sent a message via email no reply.
I phoned a third time, got through and got treated very poorly. Customer service is something they lack. I asked if they were the customer who was still waiting for DVLA approved plates and the supplier never answered either the phone or emails what would they think of customer service? That fell on deaf ears. The quality of the plates is very very poor, I ordered pair of DVLA approved plates for a vintage car and was not asked for any proof.
I have since ordered from Jepson & Co. Ltd, cost more but wow the difference in quality.
Incidentally Chase Lane Plates as I said earlier never asked for proof f ownership of the car or proof of identity - A MUST ACCORDING TO DVLA. Jepson & Co. Ltd did want proof before proceeding with my purchase.
I will take this up with the DVLA.

I turned up at the unit the other day and a very pleasant chap came straight to the counter, took the details from the V778 and pressed a set of plates in under ten minutes and at a reasonable cost. It's a small business which certainly gets my vote. The icing on the cake ? The plates were lovely and warm when handed over- literally hot off the press !
