I've had a car from Hippo motor group for under a year, where I was very happy with the sale and all now I've come to some issues. the car has apparently had some work done on it (repair work) which was pretty botched and now rust is coming up on the car. only a 2016 audi so this should not be the case at all. Hippo refuses to help with the old "you have 14 days to report any cosmetic issues"...rust on a 2016 audi and a botched repair I wasn't told about isn't exactly a comestic issue as I've got over 3 more years of paying for this car and they simply do not care. Will be contacting ombudsman and BVRLA. I will NOT be a returning customer. to say I'm fuming doesn't even come close. disgusting. DO NOT recommend

Dealt with Carl Berry when purchasing my
new car with hippo. He was fantastic, trying his hardest to keep in my budget etc. In the end I thought I might not get the car I needed space wise then he said he’ll find me something and came back to me the next morning with the prefect car, not a make I’ve considered before but I’m glad I went for it. Picked my car up today from Blackburn, very professional staff. Was a breeze, offer of refreshments etc and the toilets are absolutely beautiful! With Jo Malone soap and hand cream! Felt very upmarket but relaxed atmosphere all the same. Will definitely recommend hippo to friends and family and I’ll be back in a few years for my next car. Thanks again guys! Oh and my new car came with half a tank of diesel!

I recently leased a car from Hippo Motor Group and was lucky to have Jade as my administrator. She was incredibly helpful and professional. This was my first time leasing and she walked me through the process every step of the way ensuring I received and understood all documentation in a prompt manner. All in all it was a very simple and pleasant experience. When my lease expires I hope she’ll assist my with my next car.

Smooth efficient service received when by my new car. Was updated at each stage. Had no issues. Joseph who dealt with me was excellent professional and very friendly. All queries questions where answered and explained fully by him. He is a credit to the company, dealt with the fiance side and helping me pick the car that was best suited to my likes and needs.
I'm so happy with my final choice of car. Joseph went out of his way to find me exctacly what I was looking for. One happy customer 😀

Very pleased with my car, happy with the price/deal and service from the sales team. However, they ordered the wrong colour, did not reply to phone calls or emails to request delivery for the 72 plate. No clear communications since car delivery for payment schedule or welcome pack promised over a week ago also no show. The lady handling the delivery of the vehicle was superb, really tried to help and was spot on with communications, sadly not all up to this standard.

The whole experience was made exceptional with just the inclusion on Jonathan. I’ve bought other cars before but the way he made the process so streamlined is beyond words. Thank you for all you have done and the work you put above and beyond, and dealing with the early morning emails from me! Please always ask for Jonathan- you will not be disappointed

1 star is very generous, I don't ever write reviews, but I felt this one was justified as companies like this should not be allowed to trade.
Apologies for the long read but please I urge you to buy a car elsewhere if you value a good service and car.

I bought my car from this company, When the car arrived to my home the wheels had been refurbished the paint had all run on them where they had not been allowed proper time to set, there was chips all over the car, the paintwork was in very bad condition and had some minor faults, As soon as I had made my payments the salesperson basically ignored my concerns, the aftercare department did not want to help, I sent emails and complaints for months to the Hippo website and to the aftercare team, I got nothing back. I finally had to resolve my issues with my finance company.

I purchased a car through hippo… i had Jess Horton, he was very understanding, explained everything to me and trying his hardest to keep me under my budget. He was very patient with my free times away from work to speak to him. He was a very friendly and approachable person with a great sense of humour!

The car itself is fantastic! A couple of scuffs but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a 7 year old car. Everything works on the car as expected. The car even came with just under 1/4 tank of fuel, low mileage etc… highly recommend!!
