Free2move has been informed by Robin&day that the car has been rented 3months ago and it's a long-term contract. Free2move didn't update their website but took a £800 deposit in advance.
On that day, NO EV CAR FOR RENT.
I nearly cried because I had planned to use an EV during a 5 day trip instead of a petrol car.
James, my hero, was the one who stepped in and did everything he could to help me. At the last minute, he provided me with a spare car. It was not EV but I have no choice as Free2move were not able to give any help.
In the future, I will not rent any car at Free2move but I will consider buying a car @Robin&Day Peugeot instead.
If you can read this message....Thank you so much, James for what you have done for me and my fiance..

The car came without wheel locking bolt, they kindly offered to replace them, but ultimately had to be removed with force, permanently damaging all the wheel covers. I am still waiting for the ownership details after 6 months and don't want to bore you with the other things, just a bad experience after spending £30+k. Love the car though, so get it from someone else to save you the trouble.
I am interested in a used Citroen C3 and needed to know a bit more about the insurance groups that these cars fall in as I am looking for something similar to my current Citroen. I was immediately told in no uncertain terms to visit their website. I replied that I wanted to speak to a person. He then said he was not going through each and every model of the C3 to answer my query and I should make an appointment to come in. I said I was not ready to buy at the time of speaking and was told I was not genuine if I was not willing to make an appointment. I then put the phone down since it was clearly pointless continuing the conversation.
I cannot make out whether Robins & Day are doing so well they can afford to turn prospective customers away or if they are not doing well at all. If it is the latter, then I am not surprised.
I then rang Renault and got a much more helpful response about a Clio, whereby I was given a couple of examples of cars currently on sale in relation to suitable insurance groups. It looks like it is going to be the Clio.
The facility is clean and professionally run, and the staff are knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you.
Whilst all the staff we had spoken too were very good, I have to say Ammar was exceptional. On the same day the new car arrived, my mother had a plane to catch so it had to be collected immediately. Normally this is very difficult and there is an early collection fee, but Ammar rearranged his day and found a way to make it work. He didnt have to do any of this, we were already committed to purchasing the car and he could easily have said to come back another time.
Even after we arrived, he was a pleasure to deal with and continued to set an exemplary level of customer service and find solutions to help speed things up for us so my mother could make it to the airport.
I would also like to say the manager and the two other staff members we spoke with were far and away above the usual standards of service you would find in this industry. Their names escape me currently but I remember the positive impressions they left.
Highly recommended.
