First of all I am very suspicious of any good review of this company. In the time I have used them they have been terrible. Rude staff and extremely poor customer service.
I'll start with the most recent problem. I took my car in for service in August. On collection there was a scratch on the front wing over 20 inches long. Rybrook are yet to fix this or apologise in anyway and are no longer replying to any emails.
I took my car to a paint specialist to see if it could be buffed out, this slightly improved things and Rybrook refuse to cover the cost of the damage they caused. The scratch is STILL visible, they seem to want to deny this. Again no apology or any attempt to do anything about this. The paint specialist I took it to also told me several stories about Rybrook's reputation. Also while my car was in for service they found a fault which was claimed against my warranty costing well over £1000 and refused to tell me what the fault was...... read that again. They refused to tell me what the fault was. This is the second time my car has had a warranty claim put in by Rybrook when the car was left fault free and they have made claims and refused to tell me the issue, so that's well over £2000 they have claims on my warranty on a car that had ZERO faults when I left it with them.
On a previous occasion I took my car to have the black grills fitted to the front and made it clear I want to retain the original grills as spares. I was then told they had to break the original grills to get them off, when I pointed out that they did this incorrectly I was faced with the usual ignorance of their staff and told I was wrong. I told them I had worked in the motor trade and knew this to be lies, again I faced their wall of ignorance. I then tried to show them multiple videos on YouTube of how to correctly removed the old grills without snapping them, again I was faced with ignorance and they refused to even look. I asked to speak to a manager who was just as useless. Again no apology and no resolution.
On another occasion I had to take my car 4 times over the space of a year as Rybrook couldn't find a leak on my windscreen washer bottle and again the wall of ignorance appeared, they even told me there was no leak, I tried to show them photos of the leak, they had no interest in even looking at the photos.
Yet another occasion I took my car for service I was quoted one price on the phone and when I went to pay they tried to increase the price by over £300. Only when I told them to go listen to their phone calls did they listen to me, nice of them to treat their customers as liars.
As a lifelong BMW fan I will now never touch this brand again and I Will never buy anything from Rybrook. BMW forums are littered with stories about them, hence I doubt any positive reviews they have on here to be true.
Once again I am awaiting a reply from them to finally resolve the issues they caused. They also struggle to grasp any time I take away from work to deal with their failures is money I lose.
Time this dealership upped their game. No more excuses pay what you owe me.
If I could give no stars, I genuinely would. The service department from top to bottom are run by half-wits. They replaced my right hand side control arm, with a left hand side one, and said my car was repaired and aligned.. what a farce!
This is only one of the many issues that my car has. It's absolute woeful!
6 months of non stop issues with the car I bought from here, no real apologies, and I assure you at times you'd be better of speaking to a brick wall, as they are hands down the most stubborn, and unapologetic dealership I've ever dealt with.
From sales to service, I couldn't recommend a thing. The buying experience was a pleasure, but EVERYTHING since has been nothing short of a nightmare. Spend almost £40k, to be treated as if I've not spent a penny with them.
Even another BMW dealer local to me were shocked at the shoddy worksmanship being carried out by what is supposed to be another main dealer BMW.
I implore with you guys to take the negative reviews with weight as I wish I had also. It's been 6 months of absolute hell, the notorious no response to email other talk about is genuinley a major issue. One that runs from the top end of the business down to the very bottom.
Case is now with the Financial Ombudsman, who I hope will relieve me of this lemon that they have sold me. Would not recommend to my worst enemy...
Lewis has shown himself on many occasions to care for every customer's car: often taking the time to talk through what work is required and making (us) the customers feel comfortable with repair work that is needed. On every occasion Lewis and his team: (Jack, another technician well worthy of a quality mention for his outstanding BMW workshop knowledge) have both excelled and should take this one site into the TOP 2 Dealerships in the UK.
The Service Manager: Mr Andrew Pepperell is the perfect BMW Service Manager, very professional and without doubt Making this one Dealership simply: Outstanding !
