Anyway booked into garage and they could not find any leaks and bled the system as the dealer was convinced it was an air lock in the system. Got the car back and issue persisted so I requested a refund and was told that I am not entitled to a refund if there is no issue with the car.. then got asked to try different things to see if the issue goes away.
Eventually they said they couldn't believe my garage couldn't fix an air lock and they agreed to come get the car.. chased up for two weeks while they changed different parts trying to sort the issue. They themselves could not fix the issue and after a big fuss I did manage to get a refund thankfully
I received a competitive px value for my existing car and was readily offered an unaccompanied test drive, in what is now my new one. At no time did I feel under pressure, or that I was being talked into a deal.
Upon collection, my new car was immaculately presented and easily to franchised dealer standards.
Throughout the whole process, I received a courteous and professional service and saw this being extended to other potential buyers.
I believe in giving credit where it is due.
PURCHASED a MINI Countryman from here in August. Was told car had been serviced and was fine for us to drive away. Took car same day and 2 days later went to Cornwall in it but smelt oil burning so called then to report. Advised them we would bring car in when we got home. Upon return called them to arrange drop offat weekend. The day before we were due to drop off engine management light came on so AA patrol called out who informed us that timing chain was Stretched, oil was leaking from engine but also there was 1 wheel bolt missing from each wheel, reverting the car Unsafe, so car was recovered back to them. They offered to repair and told us it would be done in 1 week. They gave us a loan car which showed up as NOT insured. After 3 weeks of waiting for our car to be returned to us and being fobbed off by Craig the manager, I was left with no option but to threaten legal action to ensure a refund was given on the car. We now have our money back and have purchased a lovely car from elsewhere. Sadly Cars of Christchurch is run by someone with no customer care skills so my advice is go elsewhere!
