Unsure where to start..
Purchased 2 cars remotely over 7 weeks from different branches, first a Skoda Octavia VRS from Renault Exeter branch with 47k miles I paid almost £10,000 for. I waited 2 weeks for delivery. It broke down due to clutch failure on route to delivery (the delivery driver drove it for 6 hrs with non returning clutch pedal) took a week to get my money back.
I gave Bristol Street a second chance, a closer branch this time Vauxhall Chesterfield who told me they would look after me and make sure all is well given my previous experience, stupid of me to believe a salesman who also said he would have it delivered promptly, another 9 day wait. The second car a Ford Fiesta ST arrived at my address, I was told it had full service history though it arrived with none, was later told it had been misplaced. I found a 2" hole in the tailgate from a retrofitted rear view cam that had been removed, presume from previous owner, the bumper bracket had broken meaning the bumper didn't line up, was told this is normal but worst of all the drivers glove box was held up with blue tac. Issues continued with one of the headlights which had a 10mm hole in the back which was taped over and the under bonnet lining was wet and insecure and falling to bits in the engine bay and some of the internal engine bay covers/plastics had been badly spray painted 2 different colours, which was never mentioned.
This was how a £10,000 17 plate car with 58k miles was presented to me, I was also told the rear bumper was in for respray but this also didn't get done (it was a touch up pen used on the rear quarter) so blatantly lied to aswel.. they did respray the alloys though just not to a very good standard. Luckily car was collected promptly after choice words and pictures sent to the manager and money refunded right away.
Come on this is embarrassing for a dealer of this size, a glove box held up with blue tac?!? For a £10,000 car?! REALLY!?
I would advise buyer beware with remote / delivery cars with this company as standards aren't as high as you will be led to believe and they clearly had no qualms misleading customers.
I'm now £££ out having paid insurance extras and admin fees for both cars which obviously weren't fit for purpose or as advertised.. this is the first time I've ever felt the need to review a company in a negative view.
Please do not use them, the stress and headache is not worth it, once they have your money and made their comission they are not interested, cannot trust.
