DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE IT WILL HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS AND THEY WILL LAUGH AT YOU WHEN YOU ASK THEM TO HELP. I'm afraid I am going to have to agree strongly with the other 1 star reviews. Me and my partner bought a Mazda Bongo from Paul, and everything seemed to be fine for a while. The van developed issues and we took it to one of the leading Bongo Specialists in the UK - ADS Automotive in Bristol. They have now given us a quote for £2000+ and have stated strongly that the seller should never have sold a vehicle in this condition and that it would have been unsatisfactory at the time of sale (less than a year ago and has only done 2 outings since purchase due to lockdown). My biggest regret is that I did not book the vehicle in with a serious mechanic during the 3 month warranty period, otherwise I could have returned to Classic Campers with this long list and demanded that everything be fixed. ADS Automotive were so taken aback by the condition of the vehicle, that they said we should call Classic Campers and complain. My partner called and the response she got was appalling. Paul firstly pretended that he couldn't remember us as he sells a lot of bongos - and therefore said the conversation couldn't go any further! This clearly isnt true and is shocking behaviour. He then magically remembered, and said that the garage we took the bongo to must be "rip off merchants". This is also untrue as ADS are a leading bongo specialist. He was laughing throughout the conversation and couldn't have cared less. Classic Campers are importing or sourcing vehicles that have all sorts of problems, sticking an "MOT" on them and then selling them to unsuspecting people. I appreciate that old vehicles have problems but they should all be sorted as far as possible by the dealer before sale. I shouldn't have a reliable garage telling me that the vehicle was not fit for purchase. We will now lose our savings which is so painful - Shame on you!

EDIT - I am now expanding my review 24 hours on, having received further info from ADS Automotive. The gearbox needs replacing - Its an old vehicle so cant necessarily blame the dealer for that... HOWEVER the gearbox fitted to the vehicle isn't even the right gearbox! Quote from ADS Automotive - "The bongo was test driven and a loud noise was observed from the gearbox. On inspection, the gearbox is not the right gearbox for this model of Bongo and HAS BEEN MADE TO FIT". How do you make the wrong gearbox fit I have to ask? I am currently looking in to whether this is illegal, and if it is I will be taking legal action against Classic Campers. I can only imagine the horrors going on in this place and again advice anyone to STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
