Halfords Autocentre Taunton

After my engine warning light came on, I arranged an appointment here for a simple diagnostic. After an initial delay (which was totally OK... and the team were very apologetic about) my car was taken in. Over the course of the day, the issue was diagnosed and a few other issues were noted with my car.
I can't lie, it was upsetting as I've been having some serious finances issues, however the guy (Paul) I spoke with was great. He dealt with my barrage of questions and multiple calls and even arranged a simple payment plan option so I wasn't hit with paying a large lump sum.
I picked my car up and, issues sorted (finances relatively intact), I can go about my day to day life.

I had new new front tyres fitted at the Taunton branch of Halfords. The guys at this branch were excellent in every respect, and I have no complaints whatsoever, only praise. I decided to buy from Halfords because their on line price was the best on offer, by about £10 per tyre.
However, on the Halfords site, there was no "add to basket', button, or any means of ordering and paying. Seeing as I live but 10 minutes walk from the Halfords, I paid them a visit, only to learn that even they could not order and allow me to pay the on line price, their best price being £10 / tyre more than the on line price. Accepting the situation, I made a booking for 2 days hence.
However, this false, on line advertising, annoyed me. Next morning I managed to get through to Halfords head office, and explained my experience. There followed a long and convoluted explanation as to why the advertised, on line price was unobtainable, in store. I remained polite and pleasant throughout and explained that if the on line price was not available to me, I would cancel my appointment. The Taunton workshop was then contacted, (whilst I waited) and within 5 minutes, I was told that they would honour the on line price. End of story!

Fantastic team at Halfords autocentre, I called in with an issue with my car that had happened whilst driving to Taunton for a business trip. They examined my issue straight away going past the time that they should have closed. Ordered the parts straight away so that on the next morning they could get my car fixed in time for me to travel home. They tried to book me a taxi but were all fully booked at 6 different taxi firms so one of the mechanics kindly drove me to my hotel. So grateful for Halford Autocentre Taunton, they helped me out big time and I was able to get home to my family instead of been stranded for a longer time.

I managed to get an appointment with only 24 hours notice, when I turned up they were expecting me, my car was sorted out in less than 10 minutes (replacement headlight bulb)...and all for less than £15. Marvellous!

I throughly recommend Gavin and the team at the Taunton Halfords Autocentre. They always go above and beyond to ensure a good job done and the quality of the workmanship is as good if not better then a main dealer.

We were desperate for a new battery, not even turning off the engine by this point. They fitted us in straight away in between other Jobs and were soon on our way again with a trouble free car!

Had a five point check done for free, knew I had a problem with the battery. The young chap was very pleasant and helpful had it done in no time. My issue was a quote for new battery £374.68? Wasn’t stupid or born yesterday, went over to the shop Halfords an paid £96 with fitting. Same battery? Got a five year warranty. I’ve tried to email the head office of halford to discuss this with no reply. I understand garage is more expensive over £200 more expensive for same thing same job same time spent on the car?

Helpful friendly staff and the tyres and they got the tyres I wanted in specially the same day. Bit expensive but that's the way today
